One step away from the Park Gran Sasso and the Laga mountains

Completely immersed in the tranquility of the Abruzzo mountain panorama, a few kilometers from L'Aquila, located in the center of a small village among ancient houses, barns and barns, the apartment has been finely renovated and furnished with traditional wooden and wrought iron furniture but equipped with all services such as satellite TV and wi-fi.
The house is composed on the ground floor of a small kitchen, dining room with sofa bed and fireplace which, in the winter season, spreads an atmosphere of warmth and familiarity in every room and gives the entire apartment its welcoming rustic character. Upstairs, reached by a comfortable internal wooden staircase, there are three bedrooms, one single and two double bedrooms (one with bathroom).

The structure positioned on the border of the 'Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga' national park at 780 m s. lm, it can be a starting point for excursions and trekking on foot or with the bicycles provided, you can go among the green and fragrant meadows and enjoy the sounds of the landscape surrounded by nature, or, the ideal place to spend days of full relaxation. In winter we find nearby the well-equipped ski lifts of Campo Felice or the ski lifts of Campo Imperatore (Gran Sasso) for lovers of the wildest and most unspoiled mountain.
Nearby there are trattorias and agritourisms where, in an atmosphere of recognized great hospitality, you can taste the healthy products and typical dishes of the local cuisine as well as enjoy the amenity of the places and the wholesomeness of the climate.

Ottimo soggiorno

La casa é completamente restaurata quindi tutto é nuovo e ben pulito. Noi eravamo in 5 adulti più un bambino e avevamo ampio spazio per tutti. Ci sono a disposizione degli ospiti lavatrice nel locale di fronte e area con barbecue sul retro. Nelle vicinanze é disponibile un giardino attrezzato anche con giochi per bambini, molto utile se si viaggia con bimbi. Proprietario gentilissimo e disponibile. Comoda la posizione per raggiungere varie mete in circa 1h, L’Aquila é a soli 20 min. Molte delle case circostanti sono purtroppo ancora danneggiate dal terremoto e alcune in ristrutturazione quindi all’arrivo si ha un po’ la sensazione di arrivare in un paese fantasma. Poi però si fanno apprezzare il silenzio e il fresco della sera. Più avanti nel paese é presente un bar che organizza anche serate con cena più musica. Fantastico l’aperitivo: 2,50€ per bevuta e piatto di salumi e formaggi!

Sotto l'arco rental in Barete

I traveled solo to this place. The owner was very nice. He speaks italian only, but was able to understand my very poor mixture of english and italian. The place is a mother-daughter style, with a separate door for an apartment upstairs which I didn't need or use while I was there, but for a family this is a nice feature so people staying in this part can come and go more easily without interrupting the rest of the home. The bed I used was comfortable, and all linens and towels were fresh and clean. The kitchen had everything I needed, the stove top worked well, but I couldn't figure out how to use the oven, so instructions for this might help. The bathroom was clean, and the toilet and shower worked very well. Having internet was also very helpful while traveling without international calling or data packages. While this location is close to Gran Sasso, if planning to go there you will still need to drive back toward L'Aquila, so this is a little further than I would choose to stay from the park in the future. Barete is going through some development and improvements so in the future it may be much nicer and have more resources, but for now it's very simple, quiet, and off the beaten track if that's attractive. Overall it was a nice place to stay.

Endroit très étonnant qui cache des merveilles de paysages. Montagnes impressionnantes et très belles qui invitent à la découverte. Des lacs à proximité pour des points d eau et de baignade très agréables. La maison est Dans un village un peu reculé mais entouré d un très beau cadre. Elle est très propre, complètement rénovée. Charmante avec ses pierres apparentes. Elle est très confortable et fonctionnelle. Lieu que nous recommandons pour les amoureux de la nature ! Vriendelijke ontvangst in het hart van het oude dorp.

Deze woning ziet er op de foto's erg gezellig uit. Dat is ie in zekere zin ook. Maar uiteindelijk beter geschikt als onderkomen tijdens de wintersport vakantie dan in de zomer. Er is geen tuin bij de woning en dat is een gemis. Het wordt enigszins gecompenseerd door een nabij gelegen "parkje", waar de eigenaar een paar ligstoelen heeft neergezet en een picknicktafel. Maar op vakantie in Italie in de zomer is toch vooral buiten eten onder de vijgenboom. En dat mis je. Overigens niets dan lof voor de eigenaar, die 24 uur per dag voor je klaar staat!

Grandioze vakantie in mooie omgeving.

Barete is een klein maar gezellig bergdorpje gelegen in de Abruzzen. Ca 15 km van L-Aquila. Het dorpje telt ca 700 inwoners en is gelegen aan de rand van het Grand Sasso park. De Grand Sasso is een bergachtige omgeving.tweepersoonsbed en een eenpersoonsbed. Keuken met koelkast en vriesgedeelte, servies, bestek , kookgelegenheid en een oven. Open haard en tv in huiskamer. Het huis is gelegen in een van de authentieke straatjes van Barete. Zeer sfeervol. Barete is te bezoeken in de zomer en winter ( wintersport). Het huis beschikt over W-Lan ( Wifi ). Het bereik van de mobiele telefoon is uitstekend. Alle boodschappen, pinautomaat en brandstof tanken is in de directe omgeving beschikbaar. Bijzonder goede restaurants in de omgeving met de traditionele Italiaanse gerechten en speciale gerechten gekoppeld aan de streek Abruzzen. Goede wijnstreek met uitstekende wijnen. De heer B. Di Cola, de verhuurder van het huis, is zeer gastvrij , zeer behulpzaam en staat U met raad en daad ter beschikking. In de omgeving zijn zeer mooie uitstapjes te maken per auto, wandelen, fiets, mountain bike. Mooie kerkjes, gezellige dorpjes en steden en een bezoek aan Castelli ( keramiek) is zeer de moeite waard. Het park Grand Sasso neemt hierin een belangrijke plaats. Bezoek aan het strand van de Adriatische zee is zeer aan te raden. Bereikbaar op ca 70 km. Het vakantiehuis is zeer comfortabel uitgerust en voorzien van alle benodigde huisraad. Verwarming (CV) , 2 douches met toilet, kastruimte en 5 slaapplaatsen, verdeeld over 3 slaapkamers met een 1 persoonsbed en 2 twee persoonsbedden. Kortom een uitstekend vakantie adres in een zeer mooie en vriendelijke omgeving. Paul Kwanten Nederland

Appartamento delizioso e ben rifinito

Abbiamo trascorso un piacevole fine settimana nella casa di pietra di Bernardino(gentilissimo e disponibilissimo), godendoci il magnifico fuoco dell'ampio camino (con legna a volontà e griglia da professionisti!) e tutti gli altri comfort che offriva (cucina nuova e ben organizzata, tavolo ampio per mangiare e giocare anche in tanti, doppi servizi, riscaldamento adeguato, televisore in tutte le stanze), in un ambiente tipicamente rustico. Un break reso ancora più gradevole dalla cortesia del padrone di casa.
