The Cabin at Oak Bay

This gorgeous bayfront cabin offers the perfect getaway for any group or family. A wall of windows in the main living space means the view is almost as spectacular from inside the home as outside. The open kitchen inside features plenty of counter space and all the gadgets you need to prep a meal. When it's time to eat, take advantage of multiple decks with dining spaces and a grill, perfect for entertaining.

Just a short walk down the stairs at the back of the home is the beach. On the beach, you can dig for clams or fish for salmon in winter. Several miles of beachcombing is at your doorstep – watch for bald eagles soaring above. Less than nine miles from home is Anderson Lake State Park, where you can hike, bike, and walk the trails around the lake, and less than 15 miles away is Marrowstone Point, with a historical lighthouse and beachfront to walk along. The home is close to Olympic National Park, with many hiking and sightseeing experiences.

When you return home after a day of adventuring, step back onto that deck for a view of the glorious night sky. The Milky Way might be putting on a show for you, and you may catch a glimpse of the Aurora Borealis. Either way, toast your luck at booking such a lovely getaway.

Amazing Cabin in an Amazing Location!
The location of this Cabin is phenomenal! You are right on the beach and in the woods at the same time. The views are stunning looking out from the giant windows onto the water! We also took a day trip to hike and view some waterfalls, I highly recommend for anyone staying to go check out Rocky Brook Falls, only about a 40 minute drive away. The hike for Rocky Brook is EXTREMLEY easy and takes only about 5 minutes from where you park. A little more difficult but also worth it waterfall is Murhut Falls. About another 20 minutes from Rocky Brook Falls. The hike for this one is about a mine and a half there and back, and the drive to where you park is rough with potholes but the hike and waterfall are worth it! All in all this is an amazing Cabin!! I would recommend anyone who is interested in a beautiful home in a beautiful location to book and stay here immediately!

A family cabin
Keep in mind that this is a cabin, and you’ll have a magical time. In the best ways, it’s like staying at a family friend’s place. The home seems thoughtfully crafted to appreciate the forest and water all around. Skylights let you see the stars while going to sleep. Balconies and perfectly placed windows draw your eye to the ocean and provide privacy even without curtains. Family photos and the history of the property made me feel like I knew the owners. There’s enough room to relax but limited amenities encourage you to get out and enjoy nature.

An amazing house right on the water perfect for a weekend getaway
The house exceeded all expectations. The views from the deck and the bed upstairs were amazing. Perfect spot to drink morning coffee and listen to the waves crash on the beach.

Olympic peninsula
I like renting from VRBO because I like to be able to contact the owner. Vacasa has no flexibility and no one to really know about the property or directions!

Beautiful
A great place to stay. Beautiful views. Close to state parks by Port Townsend and on Marrowstone Island where we went for some great beach walks along the San Juan Strait. Also, there is a bed upstairs, so that was a nice surprise since the listing says it is a sofa bed. Great to wake up to an amazing view of the water. Very lovely to sit on the deck and read a good book while viewing the beautiful surroundings.
