Historically a waterfront restaurant & later a dock caretaker's home, this newly remodeled cottage awaits your arrival. Besides Hood Canal and Olympic Mountain views, you may see dolphins, seals, Great Blue Heron's and Bald Eagles from the comfort of this beach getaway. Bring kayaks or stand-up paddle boards and launch from a beach just steps away. A well appointed kitchen is a a must, and we've tried to check that box. If crabbing season is open, and you get lucky, there's no better seafood to enjoy right there.

This is our fourth time staying here. It gets better every time. The place is cozy, warm and beautiful. Deb is great! She responds quickly and is great to deal with. 10 out of 10!!
We enjoyed our stay in this cozy secluded cottage right on the beach. The view was stunning and it was conveniently located for walks, restaurants, and beautiful drives.

Extremely clean, beautiful sunset, and mountain views over the Hood Canal
Lovely, clean cabin with a wonderful view of water and mountains. Easy access to a cute little beach and just a short walk to the nearby state park. We enjoyed our relaxing stay and would definitely recommend it.
Soon as I walked through the front door, I knew I'd be back! This is a magical place: clean, well-stocked, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. Communication with host was excellent, and the view and beach were absolutely magical!
Very cute cottage, clean and well maintained. Loved that it was in a semi-secluded location and very private and quiet. Hosts were welcoming in their texted communication with me. Location for me was perfect as we were there for a family wedding and it was less than 2 minutes away from the venue. Amazing views, sunsets and the bird watching was incredible.
This is our 3rd stay at this beautiful place, there is alot of history since this was use for the ferry when Hood Canal bridge sunk. Really appreciated the Lofall community making this available for the community to use.
What a cute little place on the water! We loved it! My boys got a chance to paddleboard, fish nearby, play basketball, and make smores at the firepit! Deb was a great host! Super communicative and attentive, a pleasure. We are looking forward to visiting again.

Sorry that was difficult...we now have a new, reliable host, so this is fixed.
This place was fantastic. It's right on the water. We saw 5 otters and 10 seals from the living room. Sunsets were gorgeous. Our boy loved it and still talks about it.
What a beautiful little spot. Kitchen was perfect. So much wildlife. Only issue the pull out bed was extremely rough and there were no extra linens/pillows to use. Otherwise perfect.
Wonderful views of Hood Canal from this cozy historic property. Easy access to amenities & the wedding venue. Loved watching the seals every night, they are surprisingly noisy! Host provides everything you need for a relaxing vacation.
There aren't enough good things to say about this lovely place. I found the beauty of nature and the ocean so calming.
I was impressed with Karl's quick responses and interest in my stay being as good as it could be.
I will definitely visit again.
This is a lovely, well-maintained cottage with wonderful views. Well appointed, but no frills or clutter, which we appreciated. Very clean. Karl was a good communicator and quick to respond. We loved our visit here.

About the host
Hosted by Deb Harrington
Living in the Poulsbo area now for 40 years, always on Hood Canal, I love the mountain and water views. Since 1995, I've managed a vacation rental home we owned in Hood River, OR, then beginning in 2015 we transitioned to a VRBO home in Cannon Beach, OR (Vrbo.com/443420) which my wife and I continue to manage when we're not visiting ourselves. I'm experienced knowing expectations of vacation home guests.
As a member of the Lofall Community Corporation (LCC) for 35 years (which owns the home), I volunteered to help select furnishings & amenities and also to manage the vacation rental using VRBO. Two other members spent months doing a great job remodeling the home, and it looks amazing.
I look forward to answering your questions and facilitating your visit to this wonderful Northwest getaway & beachfront cottage.
Why they chose this property
The LCC did a great job remodeling a home previously reserved for a dock caretaker, but realized we had available members to do the upkeep rather than have a permanent resident there. The remodel simply beckons for visitors wanting to escape the city or for those seeking solitude, a good view and a comfy bed. Fast WiFi helps stay connected, if you want to work and just need a change of scenery.
What makes this property unique
Besides the waterfront access for kayaking, you're an easy 20-30 minutes from world class hiking in the Olympic Mountain National Park. I've hiked in Bhutan, Ireland, New Zealand, Switzerland & elsewhere & this backyard opportunity we enjoy is simply hard to beat. I mean it.
