The gîte is located on the Ile d'Or, opposite the Château d'Amboise. This island is a haven of peace for relaxation, observation of the Loire environment and leisure (swimming pool, health course, mini-golf). The cottage is 2 steps from the historic city center and the train station. It is a strategic place for the discovery of the heritage of Tours.
This cottage consists of a kitchen open to the living room. The bedroom and the bathroom are upstairs. It has all the necessary comforts for a pleasant stay. The kitchen is well equipped with an induction hob, a classic coffee maker, a Nespresso coffee maker, a toaster, a kettle, a combination oven, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Outside, you have an interior courtyard with terrace, barbecue, sheltered relaxation area and a bicycle shelter.
Household linen is included in the price. We offer a cleaning package at 25 €. The tourist tax of 0. 55 € / adult / day is to be paid at the end of the stay.

Very clean. Ithad ecerything we needed. The property has a lot of character, in a cery old part of the city. Walk out the front door and you are looking at the castle.

peaceful and convenient

We had a lovely ten days at this property, it was in a quiet neighbourhood on an island in the Loire and we just walked over the bridge to reach the town centre and all of its attractions. The property was perfect for two people and the outer courtyard and garden areas made it a great place to use the BBQ and unwind.

Our 2 week stay in and around Amboise was thoroughly enjoyed. The gite was reasonably well appointed, albeit very small, but comfortable - and perfectly positioned near the centre of the town. The car parking as described in the VRBO literature suggested parking on site whereas, in fact, it was about hundred metres away in a public place not always available and under lime trees whose nectar created a “sticky mess” which had to be scrubbed off the car every morning. The gite outdoor space/garden was very disappointing (in fact disgraceful) being an overgrown unusable space when it could have been made into delightful courtyard garden. It was totally overgrown with weeds, bamboo and Russian Vine and a tumbledown gazebo with a dirty table and chairs. Certainly not a space which could be enjoyed. We did not use the barbecue as it had been left unclean. Gite7/10, outside area 1/10, parking 0/10

Séjour charmant dans ce petit logement très calme, idéalement situé sur l'île face au château d'Amboise. Tout est accessible à pieds ce qui est très pratique. Et si vous avez une voiture, c'est très facile d'aller visiter Tours ou Blois.

idéalement situé et entouré dans un cocon de verdure

Sur l'ile d'Amboise facile d'accès l'appartement donne sur une petite cour avec un jardin très agréable en été c'était assez lumineux.. La plupart du temps nous étions dans le calme absolu un bonheur. L'appartement est un loft neuf qui est très bien équipé. Le séjour a été très satisfaisant et "cerise sur le gâteau" le propriétaire est passé et a laissé une bouteille c'est vraiment une attention fort sympathique qui compense le fait que cet appartement étant désormais géré par une agence cela manque un peu de contact humain même si au demeurant le correspondant était très disponible par téléphone.

Excellent séjour dans le gîte de Christelle et Fabien qui nous ont accueillis chaleureusement et suggèré de bons restos; il est situé à 5 minutes à pied du centre ville d’Amboise, propre, très bien équipé et très au calme avec un beau jardin ; une bonne literie. Emplacement idéal et adresse à recommander pour visiter les châteaux de la Loire.

Wunderbare Lage, schöner kleiner Garten

Schönes kleines Haus mit allem Zubehör, was man braucht (inkl. Grill, Fön etc). Gut ausgestattete Küche, großzügiges modernes Bad. Sehr nette Vermieter! Besonders im Sommer angenehmer Garten mit Schatten. Tolle Lage auf der Ile d`Or, 5 min zu Fuß zum Schloss und in die Stadt. Wir haben die Woche mig unseren beiden Kindern (9,12) dort sehr genossen.
