Floor to ceiling windows adorn this treehouse with wild friendly deer on a Forest Preserve in Sea Pines. Within 200 yards walk or bike ride to the famous Harbour Town Lighthouse & Marina with a variety of water sports, dinner cruises, shoppes and restaurants. Take a free seasonal Trolley Ride from the Harbour Town Playground Stop to the Sea Pines Beach Club or Salty Dog Marina and Pool. The Harbour Town Golf Links, known for the RBC Heritage, and Sea Pines Resort Tennis Club are a short walk.

Whether you are looking for a weekend getaway or an extended stay, rest assure you will find the comfort of Hilton Head Island in these retro-modern accommodations. 2039 Deer Island features two bedrooms and two full baths (highlighted by a Chinese soaking tub). The open concept living/kitchen area offer a large living room to watch the deer and Island birds frolic from treehouse level; a 55" Smart TV, dining table and fully stocked kitchen. Start your day off with coffee or tea from our Complimentary Coffee Bar. The large, private deck welcomes you to the outdoors for grilling out and el fresco dining.

We recommend renting or bringing bikes to enjoy the winding paved trails throughout Sea Pines and Hilton Head Island. Catch a free seasonal (March - October) trolley ride to the beach, Salty Dog Marina and Pool, Lawton Stables Petting Zoo or the Forest Preserve to hike the alligator lagoons and Native American Oyster Rings.

Deer will visit you daily on the property so be sure to bring along fruits and veggies to treat your bucks and does. The adult does will eat right out of your hand! Bird watchers get your binoculars and camaras ready to photograph the Island birds. This is a nature lovers dream vacation destination!

A pool is available at South Beach Marina Pool, 8 Portside Drive (pay at the pool for admittance). Most vacationers enjoy the gentle waves of Pool Atlantic over concrete pools!

Please note: Sea Pines does require a $9 per day/$24 per week entry fee for all rental guests. Trailers/Boats/Motorcycles/Electric Bikes/Golf Carts are prohibited with in the gates of Sea Pines.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Place soiled towels in washing machine with bleach and laundry pod and start.
Place soiled sheets only (do not drag our comforters downstairs unless you soiled them) on top of washer.
Secure trash lids so the raccoons don't enjoy your leftovers!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Sea Pines Plantation does not allow boats, trailers or motercycles.

Fantastic place to stay!

We could walk to Harbour Town, walk to breakfast and lots of other places to eat. This house was tucked back in a quiet, peaceful, wooded area. Will stay here again!!!

Staying at this property was an actual dream. We were really torn on whether we should stay at a condo near Coligny beach, but I’m so glad we didn’t. Deer Island is stunning, the views are gorgeous, the house is incredibly clean and comfortable. The beds were great, strong air conditioning, and the Chinese soaking tub was awesome!! The host was very kind and flexible, and we are so excited to come back next year. If you’re stuck on location, don’t be, Coligny beach is a quick drive or scenic bike ride away. And the deer were so cute!!

This property was a wonderful location. The beach is lovely and quiet, the children also enjoyed the playground and a visit to stables. The house itself needs updating (bathrooms and kitchen) as many have said. However, it was clean and comfortable. One exception being the outdoor furniture, which is rusted and snapped - a hazard - beware if you sit outside and it hasn’t been replaced. A definite highlight was feeding the deer right outside the house steps!

Perfect Girls Getaway House

We absolutely loved this house!! So simple and sweet. Had many kitchen essentials & plenty of linens. The bikes were a huge hit in our party! We loved riding around the island. They provide spike ball and other sports equipment which we would have loved to use if it wasn’t raining :( Overall such a great experience with the property manager and this adorable treehouse. Highly recommend!!

Weve always been charmed by Deer Island and rented the space for extra bedrooms as we own a house in Sea Pines. We did not need/use kitchen or other amenities. Bathrooms were in need of updating, but water pressure was fine. Furnishings also a tad dated and no batteries in one of the bedroom remotes. The only real issue was black mold on ceilings in main room and one of the bedrooms and a musty smell that stuck to clothes. I contacted property manager who said roof had been fixed and repairs were scheduled. The day we checked out, we returned to look for a hat and workmen were already tearing out beams - also concerning. It would have been nice to have been partially compensated as while inexpensive, it still was a nice chunk of money for 8 nights.....On a positive note, seven deer greeted us upon arrival. Great location if you are into peace and quiet.

Fun Fun Fun!

This is the third time we have stayed in one of Meredith Allain’s rentals on Deer Island and it did not disappoint. Check in was a breeze and the unit was clean and well stocked. Bicycles were included and that allowed us to take right off for our favorite haunts in Sea Pines as soon as we unpacked! The location was semi private and quiet and an easy walk into Harbor Town with it’s hustle and bustle. The best of both worlds. Meredith is very responsive. Any questions are quickly answered, any problems - we did have a small raccoon issue at one unit- resolved promptly. We hope to rent from Meredith for many years to come.

This location is perfect for any getaway you need. It looks looks like a tree house and feels like one when you are inside. We were greeted by 5-7 deer and they were constantly around when we were coming or going. The neighborhood was very quiet. I never heard any loud music or parties. There are lots of beaches, restaurants, tours, and other things to do nearby so you wont have to look far for a day trip. The prices at nearby stores were more than reasonable. We ended up biking most of the island during our stay and the island is set up with bicycle paths which make it much safer. We look forward to staying here again.

Treehouse review

We absolutely loved this property! It was perfect the perfect location. We loved that everything was biking/walking distance. The privacy within the trees was so gorgeous. We would definitely stay again! A few of the bikes provided were not the best quality and we had some issues, but we there were so many places to rent bikes in town as well.
