Built in 1912 by the Welch family, this well maintained historic home is situated on 2.18 acres w/ approx. 120’ of private lakefront & dock area. Enjoy the breath taking views & beautiful sunsets while dining on the homes wrap porch that overlooks the lawn & Lake Chautauqua. The inside of this home has kept the charm of the by gone era but w/ modern conveniences (the home was completely renovated in 2019/2020). Enjoy entertaining friends & family in the spacious family room, or gathering by the wood burning fire place on cool summer nights. This spacious home also features 6 bedrooms, 2.5 baths.
This house is ideal for a large group and/or families with plenty of area for children to play and adults to relax. The first floor has plenty of common area to accommodate everyone without feeling crowded.
The quaint village of Bemus Point is 5 miles down the road. There you will find fine dining, unique shops, and festive night life. Historic Chautauqua Institution is located directly across the lake. It is a quick boat ride or 15 minute by car to enjoy the lectures, concerts, and numerous classes & programs offered.

From Memorial Day to Labor Day, our property is only available for weekly or multi week rentals on a Saturday to Saturday rental unless a partial week is the only option available.
The home has 6 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. 1 king, 2 queens, 2 twins and 2 screened in sleeping porches which have 2 twins on each porch. The sleeping porches have roll down Sunbrella shades on each window to help regulate the temperature/weather. During the winter months, the sleeping porches are too cold to sleep on so the house will sleep 8.
There is also a tarp covering the front porch to keep the snow off.
We desire ONLY responsible renters 25 years or older, no party people please.
Can I bring my dog? No animals are allowed.
What types of problems are typically withheld from the deposit? Deposit deductions are typically made for smoking in the house; major damage such as the clogging of septic tank because of toys or other hygiene products being incorrectly disposed of through the system. Occasionally there is a charge for minor damage or missing items, but this is not the norm. Strictly non-smoking in the house. Smoking only outside of the house. Entire deposit will be forfeited for smoking in the house.
Boats are available to rent at the Chautauqua Marina.
