Welcome to our cozy 4-bedroom vacation home in the charming town of Mayville! Nestled just a 10-minute drive from the renowned Chautauqua Institution and a 22-minute drive from the stunning shores of Lake Erie, this property offers the perfect base for your getaway.

As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a fully stocked kitchen, complete with a stove, oven, refrigerator, grill, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and all the dishes and utensils you'll need to whip up delicious meals. The lake house is clean with well stocked kitchen cookware & accessories. The only downfall in the kitchen is no dishwasher. The access to and view of the lake is awesome. It was very easy to dock our rented pontoon boat at the house's dock. We also like this property because it's pet friendly and there is a lot of area to walk them.There is no central or window A/C, but lots of fans throughout the house.The owners communicated with us very well and were quick to respond to our text messages.

We had a fabulous week here and enjoyed every minute. The second day there the shower handle broke and the owner responded to my text quickly and a plumber was there the next morning and fixed it right away. Communication was wonderful and the owner was so nice. The large yard and deck on the lake was our favorite. We saw many heron's, including one that caught a fish and ate it in the yard in front of us! We also saw a bald eagle steal a fish from a heron and there was a mink also! We enjoyed the fire pit, the long dock, and the kids loved the kayaks, paddle boards and canoe's. The lake at that north end has a wonderful sandy bottom and is waist height so far out so we really enjoyed the swimming. I was able to dock our pontoon boat there easily. Our daughter loved the hammock as well. Despite there being no air conditioning, and the days in the high 80's during our whole stay, the evening air cooled things off quickly and we were very comfortable. Thank you for sharing your home with us! I've had many people ask for the link after hearing our experience here.

Why they chose this property

Our house in Mayville is a great gathering place for both friends and families. We are relatively new owners of this house (closed on 12/31/14) and are excited to make continuous improvements to the home for all of us, guests included, to enjoy for years to come.

What makes this property unique

The large lakefront lot is secluded much more than most, providing the privacy that we all desire. Views of the lake are spectacular with easy access to a private dock.
