I am SO fortunate to have found this lovely place with such an OUTSTANDING view! The home was lovingly and cheerfully appointed. Mindy is so helpful! She gets 5 plus stars!
Host was amazing and place was very clean.
Had everything we needed and we will definitely be staying again! Love the view and comfy furniture
Thank you
My brother and I were here for 4 nights visiting our niece and her family in Ketchikan. This 2 br apartment was perfect for us. Right downtown, nice and clean, lots of amenities, esp coffee fixins.
Our stay was perfect!! The beds were amazing and that view we enjoyed every minute we spent in the house. Walking distance to so many things! The stairs down to the main road were a killer, but well worth it. We hope to go back and stay there again.
Cute, walking distance to Baranof Fishing Excursions, restaurants, grocery store and points of interest. We stayed almost a week and had a great time. Mindy and her partner do a super job. The steps to the street will give you all the exercise you want.

Thanks Larry! We loved having you! Come back soon!!
Roomy, well-appointed property. This apartment is the middle of three floors, built right on the edge looking over the port of Ketchikan. Yes, there are lots of stairs, but that's Ketchikan! Close to everything!
A bit worn.
No mention of the difficult 130 steps, or the diffIculting finding parking...

Thanks so much for staying with us Gary, I'm so sorry the neighbors temporary construction caused more work vehicles the week of your stay. But just to clarify, the stairs to the 2 bedroom unit are 1 flight of stairs. I'll be sure to make sure future guests are aware there are stairs. Thank you!
Everything about the unit was great. The person or people that reside in the upper unit stomped around late at night and were rude when the company we rented a car from were dropping off the vehicle and we were signing the paperwork with the company that delivered the car to the residence. She was also giving dirty looks while using the laundry facility next to the unit we rented.
The location was perfect to explore Ketchikan by foot or car. The apartment was spotless, very comfortable, and had lots of special little touches. Mindy was great to work with. If you don’t have a car, be aware that there are a lot of steps or hills to climb to get to the place (but that’s why it has such amazing views). This wasn’t a problem at all for us, though. We would absolutely stay here again as it made our trip more special. Be sure to look through the Welcome binder for helpful information about the apartment and the area.
We were upgraded to a larger unit for free. Clean. Quiet. Beautiful view. Great environment to come after being out in the cold/rain!!
Everything needed to be comfortable. Effective written directions during stay.
Willingness to accommodate extra requests.
Will attempt to stay at this lovely place when visiting Ketchikan on a monthly basis.

Hi Barbara, Thanks for the feed back. I will make sure the binder displays on the coffee table like it should be and sounds like I need better directions on how to use the heater. I will make sure my crew gets a refresher overview on how everything should be. Thank you for staying with us.
Wonderful high-up view from large living room windows. Loved watching the clouds and light change over the broad long-distance view of the water and mountains.
The apartment was very comfortable, good beds, and pleasantly furnished. Nice kitchen with staples.
The owner was nearby and we had frequent helpful contact and help with our various questions and needs.
The location was very good—easy walk to the downtown with its restaurants, museums and shops. Easy walk down to the Baranof fishing tour start point, a highlight of our stay. The 100 steps up to the property is not as bad as it may sound. We, in our 70s, did it many times. It was always easy to stop every so often and take in the wonderful view for a few minutes, if we needed to catch our breath. It is also possible to use the street access which is more gradual.
I chose this rental for the view and it did not disappoint. Wonderful view. Mindy was very responsive to my inquiries. The entry was a bit tricky, but my tech-savvy husband figured it out (you have to touch the screen to make it light up). It comes with a full kitchen which we did not use since we were only staying two nights and there aren't any food stores within walking distance. We took the stairs down once and avoided them after that. Slippery (because it is always rainy/misty) and the banister is old and full of slinters. But we used the road and it made for an easy climb back up. Gotta "pay" for that view!
The location of the home was excellent if you enjoy walking. However, if you don't have a car, you do have some steep hills/streets to utilize going back and forth to town. The home is super cute, well maintained and had everything we needed. I do have to say, the King Bed was AMAZING! We slept like babies!!! Because we were in the middle unit of a three story home, we had to go up and down stairs quite a bit, but it wasn't bad. We did rent a car and parking is not good. You have to fight for a place to park because the only spot at the rental is for the top floor guests. One night we had to park about 4 blocks away down a steep hill. I enjoyed being able to leave the windows open and hear all of the happenings on the water. The top and bottom units had porches facing the waterfront, we didn't have that in the middle unit, which was a little disappointing, but we made do. Overall, this place is wonderful and we had quick responses from the host. We would definitely consider staying here next time!
The property is centrally located, right where you want to be in Ketchikan. The entire town is set on a hillside, so be prepared for some steps and steeper streets! We had some trouble checking in but the host took excellent care of us and our visit was wonderful.

Very dirty floors!
I absolutely loved the location, the view, and the overall vibe of the rental. However, the floor was very dirty, there were mail clippings, little spiders, old socks, and crumbs. The rug and carpet need a good deep clean and the place will be top notch again. The bedding could use a refresh as well.
We were meeting a team competing in the Race to Alaska, and found this location was perfect for our stay! It's beautiful views, location, attention to detail, and comfort made for a 1st class Ketchikan experience! Many thanks!!

About the host
Hosted by Mindy Rowser
Born and raised in Ketchikan, Alaska. We've come back to our stomping grounds to raise our family. We have lived all over the country and traveled extensively abroad, we love staying in vacation rentals to really enjoy the whole experience and have space to explore. We invite you to be our guest and hope to make your trip an amazing experience.
Why they chose this property
We bought this property for its unparalleled views, location & accessibility. When locals come into our home, they often say we have the best view in town. We love the fact that you get that downtown "big city feel" on the weekends with live music and amazing food atmosphere but also you have this historic neighborhood that we're a part of with our friends of 40 years all up and down the street. It's a perfect combo for us and for our guests.
What makes this property unique
You don't even need a car if you don't want one. Walking distance to everything. Take a cab/city bus (then cab) if you have heavy bags. It's centrally located and guests continuously say "The views and place were better than described/imagined" Take note we are up a hill. Going down to the city is easy and quick... coming back up... gives you a great cardiac workout. I suggest you walk down and grab a $4 cab back up if you have luggage or groceries or have mobility issues.
