About this property
Charming Hillcrest/Mission Hills 3 BR + House
The most central location in San Diego; Great for families who want to take advantage of the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Sea World, etc... as well as couples who may want to be close to downtown San Diego, Little Italy, the Harbor... walking distance to great Hillcrest and Mission Hills neighborhood coffee shops, bars, and restaurants. Remodel completed in Jan, 2022! Person booking the home must be at least 25 years old.
Each of the three bedrooms have a queen size bed, large closets, and provide plenty of privacy. There is a fold-down futon in the living area. You will find a foam topper as well as linens and pillows in the small closet. You will love the deck, where you can sit in the afternoon sun, or have a nice dinner under the lights.
There are two parking spots at the house. Tip: Back into the parking spots. This is a private, dead-end street, which is narrow, so backing in makes it easier to get out. If you have one vehicle, you will have no problem. If you have two, you will be fine, it will just be a little tight.
Please feel free to message us at anytime should you need anything.

The house was so clean, the beds were very comfortable and the patio was so nice to sit on at night. The process of cleanup and checkout was so easy. It was an excellent house.
Ideal house for walking in the quiet Hillcrest neighborhood which offers many restaurants and shops. Quick ride to movies, Balboa Park (Zoo , museums and trails) and close to the coast for beach walking. Easy ride to Coronado and La Jolla. Comfortable LR, bedrooms and baths. Nice kitchen, but we were out mostly! Great hosts, too. Hope you enjoy your stay - this was great for the four of us.

Safe travels!
The house was clean and pretty well organized. They made us feel very welcome. My biggest concern was that the fireplace no longer works at all. I was very disappointed as I was looking forward to sitting by the fireplace at night. The house looks like it needs a bit of a touchup. Some of the things are looking a little tired, but we enjoyed our stay overall.

Thank you Sherry, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay.
As we discussed, the fireplace was installed as a heat source, but the glass front and metal frame became very hot, creating a risk for burns, especially to children, so we made the decision to close the gas valve. We appreciate the feedback and look forward to hosting you again.
The cute house was the perfect spot to enjoy all the wonderful sites in San Diego, I.e., Balboa Park, Old Town, the harbor and more. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Thank you Alex! We are so glad you enjoyed our house and the neighborhood, and thank you for being such a great gusts. We hope to see you again someday.
The house was great for a vacation stay with our two teenage daughters. Light, airy and super clean. Close to all the attractions and neighborhoods we wanted to see. Plenty of room to spread out and relax. Short walking distance to restaurants, grocery and drug store. Host was very communicative and gave a lot of helpful details. Check in was easy. Parking a bit tight for two cars. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The "Cozy Home" looks just like the pictures in the VRBO add. Modern tiled bathroom-shower. House full of amenities. Gas stove.
Each bedroom has it's own T-Stat (AC-Htr) unit.
Dedicated per bedroom. Quiet residential neighborhood.
Close to Zoo and other attractions.
This home sits in a quiet neighborhood. We rented it because of its location--very close to some dear friends who live in SD and within walking distance to them and to nice neighborhood cafes and restaurants. For the most part, we ate out-but we had one meal in--seating 7 people comfortably around the table. The bedrooms were comfortable. The only difficulty with this home has to do with the small area for parking: if you have a car larger than a small sedan, you may have difficulty parking--because the home is located in a mews (tiny road) and the other homes are very close by, there is little turn-around room for a larger car. However, we walked most places and when we needed a car, we had use of a small sedan----so that worked out well.

We are so glad you enjoyed our home and the neighborhood. You're right, parking can be a bit tight, but we had once group with two large SUV's park in the driveway, if you can believe it. They had some great parking skills, that's for sure!
Come back and see us anytime!
TJ and Blanca
This was a perfect house to accommodate our family members, from Japan, Arizona and Northern California. We had a great time! Our son got married in Mission Hills, had wedding related events nearby and the proximity worked out well.
We used to live in this area for 30 years so we were familiar with the surroundings.
The beds were comfortable. Bathroom between the master bedroom and the other bedroom was rather small for two parties but we managed. We didn't hear back where the iron and ironing board were (found them later).
Kitchen was well stocked and breakfasts and lunch preps were done effortlessly. The skylights were nice but in the afternoon it added heat. Air conditioning worked well to cool off but when it became colder at night in need of heat we had a bit of a hard time getting it going.
We have a big van and it took some skill to back into the parking, but you get used to it. Made a few trips to the airport which was close and convenient. Nice quiet neighborhood. Owners were attentive and easy to communicate; the house rules were easy to follow. Thanks!
TJ works in finance and Blanca is an artist and designer, specializing in her custom leather purse line. We have so enjoyed hosting guests from all over the world, and never imagined we would have the opportunity to touch the lives of so many people from all corners of the planet. We are about an accepting, kind, respectful, and inclusive environment. When we are not working hard in San Diego, we love to travel and take the opportunity to expand our horizons. We are Super Hosts on another platform with over 380 Five Star Reviews.
