The property is spectacular and the cabin is nestled between massive boulders and giant trees.!The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Wonderfully firm King mattress. One tiny inconvenience: no place to hang any clothes, although there was a dresser in the bedrooms (even a few hooks on the back of the door would’ve helped).We definitely would like to return.

This cabin was spacious--loved the big open living room/kitchen area which is bigger than it looks in the photos. I was in Idyllwild for a writers' retreat and I could spread out all of my paperwork on the dining room table and stay organized. Great bed, so comfy, great water pressure in the shower. Great views from the windows and a lovely porch to sit and soak up the peaceful vibes. Thank you, Emma for all! I give my highest recommendation!

Nice, quiet cabin in the trees. The stone fireplace is wood burning and draws great; no smoke issues inside the house when having a fire. There isn't a gas log lighter, so bring kindling. In downtown Idyllwild there are a number of good places to eat, enjoy adult beverages or browse through shops. The Nature Center is less than two miles north of town, and has nice hiking trails suited for novice and experienced hikers alike.

We spent two very enjoyable nights at the Rockhouse. The exterior is charmingly rustic but the interior is modern and clean. We appreciated the A/C units in the main room and bedroom for our summer visit. The location is close to town but feels remote and peaceful. We didn’t hear any noise from neighbors during the day or night. We would definitely stay here again.

Green Door

This little cabin is a nice place for a couple looking for a quiet romantic getaway. My wife and I celebrated our 22nd anniversary and had a great time. Just be aware there are no TV’s and the WiFi is almost worthless. However, the listing clearly indicated there was no TV and I think the WiFi is pretty new. So maybe some kinks to work out. A few more towels would be great as we only had two, and there needs to be a bath mat or someone is going to slip on the tile getting out of the shower and hurt themselves. Emma was a great host.

A great get away

The property is as advertised. It is a quaint little cabin in a great area. We had a great time by the fireplace each night and enjoyed the patio for morning coffee. It's a great distance from town for shopping and having dinner. Emma was great and very attentive to anything we need. We would definitely stay here again.

The space could not have been any more lovely - well appointed and surrounded by natural beauty . I wouldn't hesitate to stay in one of the many beautiful properties within the compound . Just a thought - it would be very helpful to have a bit of a write up on the historical property - makes the space all the more wonderful -
