You're paying for location.
Despite everything that follows, I'd rent the property again, but I would definately force a cleaning when I arrived.
The property is in a great location, its big, plenty of rooms for a good number of guests -- we have a large family. I think some of the rules are crazy, 800$ fine for playing music outside, but understandable.
Overall the house was dirty, and there were many things that needed maintenance. I was a bit disappointed at how unclean the home was when we arrived, and how little it was staged with creature comforts, like 2 ply toilet paper. Either way, we were able to get everything we needed.
Stellar location, friendly property manager, but dirty and staged poorly for the price. I can't help but feel taken advantage of given the dirty house, however, my wife is very pleased with the location and had a blast.
Reminder to those that rent, make sure they actually clean the home prior to your arrival. I'm pretty sure the maid service has never really thoroughly cleaned that home given the blood/boogers/dirt/whatever on the walls, baseboards, and apparently stained sheets.
At over 1,000$ a night, I expect a clean house, without trash and broken items everywhere -- call me crazy.
