The Heights Cabin, solid wood log cabin with awesome views

We have been renting cabins for over 10 years. Our other Patweb cabins are the Pine Cabin (VRBO 252629) and the Cypress cabin (VRBO 394524) in Woodland, Georgia.

The Heights cabin is on 50 acres of secluded woods.
Just 75 miles from Atlanta. 12 miles from Pine Mountain / Callaway Gardens. 5 miles from Warm Springs. Nearby restaurants, shopping, attractions such as FDR's Little White House, The Wild Animal Safari. Spectacular panoramic view for miles with large deck. Has
all the modern amenities such as high speed internet/Wifi, granite countertop kitchen, wood burning fireplace.

We spent a weekend at the Heights Cabin and had a wonderful time. The host reached out multiple times to us - before, during and after our visit, which we really appreciated. The cabin was so lovely with amazing views, lots of space to unwind and a very comfy bed. We had everything we needed and more. I highly recommend this vacation home. We will definitely be back.

This cabin was absolutely perfect! We enjoyed everything it had to offer! Great views, very quiet and peaceful! The big king sized beds were so comfortable and we loved the nice big warm shower! We can’t wait to come back and stay again!

We loved everything about this property! The manager was immediately available and responsive when we had a quick question. The cabin is beautiful and comfortable. No steps to access the entry was a nice plus for us. Liked the split floor plan for the main floor bedrooms, and loved the electric and charging ports on the nightstands by the beds. We would definitely stay again!

Family Time perfection

This was our second time staying at The Heights and loved it even more in the winter. Some of our favorite hiking trails are so close to the cabin it allows for a mix of relaxing and fun hiking. Having a family and pet friendly place to get away was so nice and we are looking to book our next trip!

We really enjoyed this cabin. Great location for the purpose of our stay. Love the seclusion and gated driveway. Beautiful view from the back deck and very clean. Nicely furnished and comfortable. We will definately stay here again. The owner was very quick to respond and was available if we needed anything.

What a View !!!

Location was just what we like close enough to everything we wanted to see but far enough to be secluded from the bustle. Cabin was well maintained with very nice bedrooms and bathrooms. Oh the view was spectacular!!!

Nestled on a bluff overlooking the forest canopy of Pine Mountain, the Heights cabin is the perfect antidote for overworked and over-scheduled folks. Isolated and quiet, this beautiful home offers a spectacular deck that runs the width of the house with majestic views. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow you to enjoy the view from the inside on comfy couches and chairs. A well-equipped kitchen, two very large bedrooms (sporting those same incredible sightlines), and a cozy loft with beds and a seating area complete this perfect space. The cabin is a very short drive from Warm Springs and the rich historical sites associated with President Franklin D. Roosevelt, along with numerous trailheads, the Liberty Bell pool (should be one of Georgia's seven wonders), and quaint towns. (Highly recommend Unique Expressions Coffee Shop and next-door antique shop in the town of Pine Mountain.) Perhaps most important, the host, Charles, was gracious, responsive, and welcoming. No doubt, it's very difficult to manage properties and the tendency is to develop the rules to fit the problem-children who are less-than-stellar guests. Charles’s approach was to assume the best about his visitors, which made for a very congenial and relaxing sojourn. This was one of the most pleasant homes in which I have every stayed. It was also endorsed by my 95-year old mother who loved puttering around and drinking coffee while enjoying the view. What more can one say? Stay here if you have the chance.

Charles lives in Woodland on a small farm with his wife. He has horses, dogs, cats, goats, and chickens. Pat lives in Atlanta with his wife and two sons. He goes to Woodland frequently where he manages some timberland.

Why they chose this property

Many of my friends talked about getting away for the weekend to someplace secluded. Not to a resort or other tourist attraction but to someplace undeveloped with lots of space. So I built this house and it has been a great success.

What makes this property unique

This solid log home has views 10 miles. It is on 50 acres of timberland in one of the least populated and undeveloped counties in Georgia. It is only 100 miles from Atlanta.
