Maui Honeymoon

We loved our stay! Our third trip to Maui and certainly not our last. Very conveniently located on the west side of the island. We spent most of our days swimming and snorkeling. Great food options nearby. Less than an hour drive to get to Kihei or other places around the island too. We had a wonderful honeymoon staying here!

Maui Vacay

This room was perfect. We had an amazing view of the ocean, room was clean and had access to cooking pans and utensils to cook breakfast. We visited friends room at same hotel and for the price we paid, we were not disappointed to have booked this room! Only thing is maybe switching the umbrella as it was broken when we tried to use it at the beach. other than that we recommend it and loved staying here!

Perfect Condo

There were no surprises with this condo. Everything was as described and matched the pictures. My husband and I have stayed at the Kaanapali Shores resort in the past and we just love it. Staying in the top-floor unit at the end of the hall allowed beautiful views of the ocean and we got to see the whales right from our balcony. Hopefully we'll be back soon!

Ocean front

We liked the location with great pool right on ocean front and sandy beach. Easy to get around Kaanapali. Room was fine with basic kitchen items, comfy king bed. The safe did not work which was something we really wanted to keep travel documents safe. This needs fixed. Rain came in under the door when it rained twice. The patio door locked on its own when we were outside. This could have been disaster but we did have our phone to call property and they helped us. In general it is an older style but was great for us.

Beautiful views!

This is a lovely property overall. Two pools, hot tub and great location on "resort row". This is a corner unit and was great for privacy. Conveniently located across from a mall area that has a coffeee shop, grocery store, and souvenir shops. Many shops and a fitness center and spa as well in the condo building. The studio unit was exactly what we expected. Great kitchenette area with a full size, fridge, stove, microwave, etc. The area lacking was in the cleanliness of the unit. We couldn't tell just how much it needed to be cleaned until well into the stay. We notified the service mgr and they responded that they would let housekeeping know. There was also a large hole in a screen in the bathroom as well. It is Hawaiian custom to remove your shoes when entering someone's home, however, that is a lot less likely to happen if the carpet isn't clean. Would certainly stay here again and would have to make sure these points were addressed as outlined above.

Bait and Switch Property

This property and its management are awful. Don't let the pretty photos fool you. The unit is dirty and tucked on the end of a concrete building. There wasn't even salt and pepper in the kitchen. The worst part is that the internet doesn't work. The signal picks up to an adjacent property because of its location. When it does connect, it's spotty at best. I called the internet service 7+ times. I was literally without internet for over 72 hours out of a 5-day stay. When I called and wrote management, they completely ignored me. No reply whatsoever. I initially selected this property because it appeared to be cleaner in the photos. It's not. It's also 3 miles away from Whaler's Village. I wish I had not been fooled.

Incredible Location & View!

We loved staying at this unit. My wife and I have stayed in several resorts and in Maui over the years and this was definitely the best view from the room that we have had. We saw whales every morning and most evenings by simply just being in the room/lanai/kitchen. Overall I would give the unit about 4.5 out 5 stars. It had everything we needed as far as cookware, bedding, lounge area on the lanai, towels and essentials for the bathroom/shower etc. The only real negative feedback(and it's not really a big deal to us) was that the streaming services on the TVs didnt work due to an internet connectivity issue. Everything else as far as phone/ipads/laptops, etc all worked great with the WiFi. But for some reason the TV would not connect and we tried several times to follow the instructions of resetting, etc.Besides that, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the unit and at the resort. The 2 pools on site is great for all ages, and the restaurant with a full bar is very convenient to have on site. The shores in front of the resort are rather rocky, so I would definitely recommend wearing some kind of foot protection if you plan to snorkel in front of the resort. I saw and swam with several turtles thorough the trip. It was truly breathtaking and magical. One last thing I'll add is that the owners are extremely attentive and responsive if you have any issues or requests. I really appreciated their willingness to help us fix the internet issue. We loved our stay!

Horrific

What a terrible experience. We arrived late at night, due to flights. Get in late, jet lagged, and find the unit literally crawling with roaches. They were everywhere. In the bed, on the walls, in kitchen cabinets, on the headboard, windows, bathroom, sink. Everywhere. Wife goes to sleep I stay up killing these things that crawl out of hiding places every fifteen minutes. Send a note to property owner the next day, they apologize and say their on site team will contact me. No one contacts me. I get their phone number and text them about the issue, and they tell me they just sprayed for roaches and it’s typical for them to come out of hiding places the next day, but it should be better. Fine. Next day, still roaches. I contact them again, and get the response that this happens on an island and recommend I go out and buy traps to deal with any remaining cockroaches. Despite another note to property owner, there is no response. For the remaining two weeks, no response from the owner. I have been to Maui close to a dozen times, and other tropical islands, I get that bugs are a part of life and you can’t avoid it. This was not that random encounter. We had roaches every day. Infestation. Roaches in the oven clock the entire trip which was so gross. So disappointing that there was no response from the owner. And that their way of dealing with this is to tell the renter to go buy insect traps. Horrific. I would not recommend anyone stay here, or with any property of the owner.

Being in Hawaii is always a treat. Staying at this location seemed less than adequate. It seemed really outdated but the effort to be cleaned was made. The bathroom could use some caulking. The cabinets in bathroom were water damaged and in the kitchen they seemed slightly greasy. The slider to balcony was broken and we couldn’t open the right side. The plumbing under the bathroom sink was old and we had a moderate leak that went all over the floor. If they would do a complete updating and renovation with flooring, repairs and cabinet replacement, this rental would be highly worth it. The bed was very comfortable and we did sleep well. We liked the property and the area around property. I find it still worthwhile to stay here and it seemed to be clean for what it was. Aloha.

Didn’t like one thing about this place. It was super dirty, balcony door didn’t work, smell was horrible, the building was horrible. I called to complaint, and the Expedia representative asked me for pictures , I sent them, and they told me to leave and that they were issuing a refund. They even helped me booking the new hotel, which I paid. And now, a month later , I’m still fighting for that refund. This was nightmare and the customer service is ridiculously bad. They lied to me and now I have paid for 2 hotels.

Needs attention

Overall, a miss. Location could've been better. The toaster and iron didn't work. After 30 minutes the oven never got to temperature. The water was shut off twice during our visit - once we were given notice ahead of time. Sign on the slider door that we couldn't use the lanai. When we called we were told the note should've been removed. All in all, too many negatives!

Nice place for a couple

Clean place with a nice view and kitchen. Room is hard to find at first, you have to stay on even side and go all the way down (follow tennis court).
