Cherokee with all its shops, Cherokee Nation Museum and Harrah's Casino is only a 35 minute drive through the scenic Smoky Mountains. You could even spot a Black Bear or Elk along the way, which are thriving in Western NC.

Our property sits on the Lake Junaluska grounds within walking distance to the Lake, which has a two and a quarter mile hiking trail around the lake. Speaking of hiking, nearby there are some of the best hiking you will find anywhere, with scenic waterfalls, from "easy" to "extreme" opportunities.
