About this property
Direct Beachfront, gorgeous sunsets, gated community, north Cape near state park
*Our home books Saturday to Saturday*
Direct beachfront access! You'll fall in love with our beachfront townhome on Cape San Blas, FL! Perfect for a couples getaway or trip with friends or family, this home has it all - three bedrooms (plus a sleeper sofa!), three and a half baths, a fully stocked kitchen, separate living/entertaining and sleeping spaces, and the most incredible view of the gulf. Even better, it's just steps from the ocean. No need to haul everything down to the beach for the day when you have easy access to where you're staying - for a quick trip inside to make lunch or take a nap. We hope you'll take the opportunity to catch the sunset from one of the three beachfront porches, have a bonfire and s'mores on the beach, and enjoy the restful, uncrowded beach that we've been visiting since 1995. It's truly a getaway and we look forward to sharing it with you!

We had a wonderful stay! The property manager was very responsive and easy to communicate with, making everything from check-in to checkout smooth and stress-free. The beach views were beautiful, and we loved how easy it was to walk to the beach whenever we wanted. The location was perfect for a relaxing getaway. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place with great ocean views and convenient beach access.

Thank you for the excellent review! I am glad you enjoyed the views and the ease that comes with the location. Come back anytime!
Townhome was fully stocked as described in the property description from kitchen utensils, pots, and pans to towels. The host responded promptly to all of the questions that I asked and made check-in easy. The home is a bit worn, possibly from age, but also due to normal wear and tear, so don't expect a newer environment, but it was clean. The walk to the beach was right out from the back deck, which was probably the best part, especially with the ocean view and sunsets!

I’m glad you found the house well-stocked and the proximity to the beach to be convenient! I’m also glad to hear we met our cleaning standards. Also, if you’re up for it, I’d love to hear what seemed worn. The community has been welcoming vacationers for some time, but we’ve undergone many renovations over the years and just recently purchased new furniture and mattresses. Our goal is to keep things updated - I’ll reach out to follow up and would appreciate any feedback.
Great condo on Cape San Blas with beautiful views! Have stayed in the area before and having the 3rd bedroom and easy beach access were huge pluses for us. Well stocked and ready for families. Just a nice piece of paradise!
Our stay was absolutely amazing! We will book again. If you are looking to stay on the beach, this is the place. The views from all 3 balconies were perfect!! The beds were comfy and the bedding was so cool and soft especially after a hot day in the sun.
Great rooms with full views of the ocean.Kitchen pots were found in the bathroom closet and although there was a mixer and pans for baking, there was no baking spatula. Bedding for the fold out had a hole in it. Spice cabinet was less than advertised. Salt and Pepper. We appreciated the beach chairs and the beach itself was fantastic. Felt very safe. However, overall we had a wonderful time.

Hi there!
I’m so glad you enjoyed the beach and views! Thanks for letting me know about the spices and spatula- I’ll get right to addressing those issues. Sounds like we need to replace that pull out bedding too. I’m not sure about the pots but will figure out what needs to be reorganized so items are where they belong! For the future, it is helpful when guests let us know about things immediately, so we have the chance to rectify any missing or damaged items. I try to be highly responsive to my guests and take care of any issues as soon as possible.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the beach in this home. It was immaculately clean, and the decor was tasteful with that relaxed beachy vibe. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we could need and more. The unit and property was just as described. The only negative I could mention is that there are a lot of stairs! Most of us could handle that OK except one guest with mobility issues. The ocean views are spectacular from the master bedroom and queen bedroom as well as the kitchen and living area. However, access to the beach was not really direct from the unit. Rather, you had to go down a flight of stairs around a path that was maybe 20 yards and then up another flight of stairs to the common boardwalk. From there, you walked up an incline and down another set of stairs to the beach. Inside, from the entrance, you walk up a full flight of stairs to get to the main living area. To get to the guest bedrooms, you walk up another full flight of stairs. And for the master bedroom, you walk up two flights of stairs from the main living area. But, all that stair walking was worth the effort because the master suite was especially nice and private. The ONLY reason I rated this a four instead of five was because of all the stairs inside and out. Otherwise, everything was very nice and the host was communicative and helpful.

I am glad you enjoyed your week at the house and that you found it to be clean and nicely decorated! I am so sorry a member of your party struggled with the stairs. While some photos do show that the house is a townhome and even include the stairs, I will take a look at our listing to see if I need to make changes to make it more clear. Regarding the proximity to the beach, you are correct that there are stairs off the main deck that land into a walkway along the front of the building. From that walkway, there is a beach walkover (which goes over the protective dunes) to the beach. We usually hear how wonderful the location is, but I can understand with limited mobility that every extra step presents a challenge.
We had a lovely stay at this property. The kitchen was well stocked and it was convenient to the pools.
This was one of our best stays at The Dunes and we want to stay here when we return.
We loved our stay here! It was very clean and perfectly sized for our group (4 adults, 2 children). This was probably the most well stocked kitchen I have ever rented, lots of cookware and appliances available. Great beachfront view, steps away from the beach. Also appreciated the community pool on the red flag days where we could not swim in the ocean. Check in was easy and great communication with Ashley.
Wonderful location, and loved the ease of access to the beach. Plus, the pool was not far from us, at all. Coolest thing was doing a bonfire on the beach. Great condo for the family. It did have a lot of stairs, but we taught our toddler how to use the stairs safely and we had such a smooth week. Loved the balconies over looking the beach. Ashley was super helpful during our stay!
The house is well renovated, clean and in a great location in the barrier dunes community. We had everything we needed and then some! Would definitely recommend this spot and would definitely stay again.
Great location on the beach! Listened to waves crash all night, played in them during the day. Close to state park so when the waves get too crazy on the beach we could take kids to Eagle Harbor and play on the sand flat in St Joseph Bay. Great location!
I can't say enough about this property and the owner!! It was clean and had all the amenities we could ever need and also had on hand spices for our use. The beds were comfortable and bedrooms spacious. The whole house was beautifully decorated. Will definitely stay here again!!!
Property was gorgeous. Had all the amenities you would need for a perfect beach vacation. Even a covered shower outside to rinse off after a day in the sand!
Would absolutely book again in the future!

About the host
Hosted by Ashley Ayris
I have owned this home since 1995 when I first visited with my husband and two girls. We fell in love instantly with the pace and beauty of Cape San Blas and have owned two properties in the area over the years. My girls are grown now but we all still visit our beautiful home away from home when we can!
Why they chose this property
The location of this property on Cape San Blas is unmatched. Besides the obvious beachfront draw, the community of Barrier Dunes is located at the edge of the residential portion of the cape which bumps up against state-preserved state park land. The beauty and privacy this location bring truly allow its visitors to unplug and soak up the sunsets.
What makes this property unique
We pride ourselves on keeping a well-stocked home. We hope you'll find everything you need in the home during your stay (if not, please let us know for future visitors!). We even include a starter set of disposables like paper towels, toilet paper, and soaps, so that you're not in a bind if you get in town late. We've tried to think of everything, since we ourselves stay in the home regularly.
