CANALFRONT Avon - S. Albacore Ln. - Bask in the AFTERGLOW of the stunning sunsets from the decks of this brightly decorated home.

With under-house storage for watersports gear and direct access to the sound from the property from the private dock, this is the ideal home for watersports enthusiasts! There are two kayaks at the home for you to use as well. Rinse off in the outdoor shower and toss some burgers on the charcoal grill after a day on the Pamlico Sound.

Unpack into one of the three bedrooms on the first level of the home with convenient laundry nearby. The inviting hot tub is found on the first level covered deck, with of course a gorgeous water view.

The top-level great room features vaulted ceilings and blue water views through the many windows. Gather in front of the large flat screen TV while the cooks whip up dinner in the nearby kitchen.

Enjoy your choice of restaurants and shopping in the village of Avon and bicycle along with multi-use path.

New for 2024: Bring more loved ones with an updated bunk room! Previously a bunkbed and a single bed, this room now features a pyramid bunk with trundle, allowing more space in the room for up to four people!

Peaceful Getaway

My husband and I just returned from the most peaceful getaway at this beautiful beach house. It was exactly what we needed—a quiet, relaxing escape right on the sound. The house was immaculately clean and the perfect size for the two of us. Despite there being a lot going on in the area, the home itself offered the calm and serenity we were looking for. We loved waking up to the views and ending our days with the gentle sounds of the water. It was everything we hoped for and more—truly a hidden gem!

Sunsets a la mode…

We loved this property…nice open upstairs family room/kitchen floor plan with bedrooms on first level made summer sleep temps nice and cool. New deck was pivotal for morning coffee and evening cocktails, and hot tubbing after a day on the water wasn’t so bad either. My boys were stoked by the backyard kayak access AND our close proximity to multiple ice cream establishments. Thank you for a wonderful OBX week!

Book through Surf or Sound Instead

We have stayed here before and love the house, the views, the neighborhood, the village. The upgrades: decking, countertops and backsplash and flooring all look great! However, do not book on VRBO due to a lower price as you will be charged more than the price listed. Our confirmation showed a ceratain amount for the week. We were charged more than that by Surf or Sound and a fee from VRBO. We spent weeks trying to correct this and received some long explanation regarding pet fee, which was included supposedly in the VRBO confirmation. Save yourself the time, money and stress by not booking on VRBO as you will be redirected to Surf & Sound and at their leisure to charge whatever they want + the VRBO fee.

Great property with great views

Stay and house was great. Loved the view, right on the sound, and location was really nice. Avon was quiet and not over crowded. Hot tub was a little finicky - was way too hot and took a couple days to get it to the right temperature. The dial didn’t seem to be very accurate. Floors were also a little dirty when we got there. Walking around with bare feet, our feet got very dirty. All in all, great house and had a great time. Thanks!

Wonderful view

Perfect location

Loved the location, central to everything in Avon. House was as described. Plenty of room for the family. Loved the space below the house that gave the kids a covered place to play in the sand.
