Stunning Historic Home Two Blocks from Beach, Town & Central Park

Welcome to Cape Charles Retreat! Come on up to the porch, grab an ice-cold lemonade and settle into the porch swing for some much deserved rest and relaxation.

Cape Charles Retreat is a beautiful 100+ year old American Foursquare located two blocks from the beach, Central Park, and town! Our home has been restored to preserve much of its original charm while adding certain modern amenities: dual zone heating/cooling, new stainless steel appliances, front loading washer/dryer, private master bath with over-sized walk-in shower, house wide osmosis water filtration system, high-speed WiFi, new linens and mattresses, Nest thermostats and carbon-monoxide/smoke detectors, and key-less front door entry. We’ve outfitted the home with everything you’ll need such as a fully stocked kitchen, beach chairs/umbrellas, backyard games, kids toys/books, games, movies, extra phone chargers, sound machines, and umbrellas so you can just grab your bathing suit and come for a visit!

After spending the day at the beach or exploring the shops, both two blocks from the house, head home to cool off in the outdoor shower then relax in the backyard hammock while the kids explore the shed full of outdoor toys. Let someone else worry about grilling on the propane grill and then enjoy dinner together on the back deck (seats 8) or in the large dining room (table extends to seat 10 plus kids table that seats 4).

After dinner, spend the evening rocking away on the porch, exploring the collection of board games and dvd’s, or cozying up on the brand-new sectional sofa to enjoy the 46” Smart TV complete with digital cable, Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu, etc.

When you’re ready to call it a night, head upstairs and climb into one of three new king mattresses while the kids enjoy a sleepover in the playful bunkroom that sleeps four (4 bedrooms total). The bunkroom is every kid’s dream - fully stocked with children’s beach books, toys, games and even a swinging chair!
