Holiday Ski Vacation

Amazing property!! We showed up after dark and initially had a hard time determining which building this unit was in (north most of 3 buildings). Parking was a bit rough (literally rough with icy ruts) and sometimes all the spots were taken. Restaurants were close enough to walk…Pinkie’s Pizza was awesome!! About a 25 minute drive to Grand Targhee Resort where the skiing was excellent, short lift lines with lots of good, fresh powder. Rental had a huge master suite, beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed. Gorgeous property!! Eddye was super responsive when contacted. This was the first time we had used the August door lock app to gain access to a property and worked well. We highly recommend this property!!

Many Pros, One HUGE Con

The apartment is amazing: brand new, clean, modern, beautifully furnished. The apartment has everything you need: fully equipped kitchen, etc. The location is great, close enough to everything, but out of the crowds. I do wish there were TV’s in the master and second bedrooms. The property managers were ALWAYS quick to respond. However, the HUGE con is NO Air Conditioning. I will start by saying, there were no fans, which is mind boggling, with how hot this place gets, but the property manager was quick to bring us 2 box fans. Of course, a little nicer fan that oscillates and isn’t so loud, you can’t hear the TV or each other talk, would have been nice. Two nice fans wouldn’t have come close to costing what we are paying a night for this place. BUT we did get the fans, the day we requested them. Those of you still coming this summer, will thank us for those loud fans. Anyway, I do understand that few places have AC in the area, but I did a search and many VRBO’s in the vicinity do have AC. Even a few right in Victor. With so many windows and no sun blocking blinds/drapes, by 9am or earlier, it is 80+ degrees and never cools off till after dark. We did what was suggested, close windows and blinds, which we did about 7am, not mid morning and still 80+ degrees at 9am. I actually tracked the temp many days and have pictures to prove it. We tried everything to keep the place cool. Unfortunately, this apartment also has windows in the direction that rarely gets the breeze and many days the wind on my weather app said calm, which doesn’t help. I know this area is meant for your time to be spent outside, but no one wants to get ready in an 80+ degree apartment or come home to an 85+ degree apartment. I think some sun blocking drapes could make all the difference and if done well, would not take away from the look of the apartment. Also, the small upper windows need blinds/drapes as well, as they let in a lot of sun. Never good when it is much hotter inside than outside. If you love the heat, this is the place for you. If you don’t, then this is not the place for you.

ON YOUR DEPARTURE PLEASE DO THE FOLLOWING -
Leave used beds unmade.
Load dishwasher and start cycle.
If no dishwasher please wash them by hand.
Bag up all garbage and leave in large garbage can or dumpster in parking lot
Close and lock all windows and doors, return keys to lock box if applicable and return remotes to the TV
DOUBLE CHECK THAT YOU HAVE GATHERED ALL YOUR BELONGINGS!
We are unable to mail them back to you if forgotten!!
SNOWPLOW - All plowing is done by private contract, after 3-4 inches have accumulated.
