Family Trip

This was a great location. In the past we stayed at a property that had a daunting driveway, this was the easiest driveway to get in and out of! We traveled with a 3 yr old and 2 yr old, I was so pleased to see that the property provided a baby gate for the stairs and a safe balcony that only had access from inside the house. This property exceeded all expectations and was just as pictured.

Best property on the Mountain

Ski’n with bears is an amazing stay. It’s convenient, clean, well stocked and overall an enjoyable stay. Plan to stay again when the Bears are in season. Thank you for a 10 Star Stay.

Always enjoy staying at this property. The owners are wonderful to work with and the property is clean and comfortable. Beautiful views, quiet and easy to get into Gatlinburg or the national park. We have stayed numerous times and will plan to book again.

Excellent rental experience!

We had a great stay at this property while visiting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Being able to use a door code to check in and out was incredibly convenient, and the location had great access to both Gatlinburg and the park. My kids loved all the video games and the hot tub. We will definitely return to this rental if we visit the area again!

Awesome Trip!

I came here with a group of nine, and we absolutely loved it! The views from the porch are awesome (we saw two bears!), the house is absolutely gorgeous and looks even better in person, and the hot tub and other amenities were great as well. Michelle is a great host and made sure we had everything (and more) that we needed to have an amazing trip. I think this is definitely the place to beat, and if I ever come back to Gatlinburg with a bigger group, I will absolutely be staying here again.

Great stay!

Stayed 4 nights near end of May 2022. Liked location - very easy access to GSM National Park for hiking and my husband and I drove down and parked at Galinburg Trail head (maybe a 4 min drive) early most mornings and ran along the river out to the Visitor Center. Cabin was well equipped, very good communication from the owner and she left a nice welcome bag to get our stay started. Would stay here again.

Great Location

We enjoyed our stay. Like many others have shared, great location. And Michelle was very responsive and hospitable. My kids enjoyed the games and seeing the bears. The community pool was great to have. A couple of ideas that I think would really elevate the experience - blankets in the living room, a long bench on the wall across from the toilet in the master bath, and hooks on the wall to the right of the sink in the master bath. Overall, would recommend.

Location was great, the showers and stairs are not the best. The second to last step down was an issue. Space was clean and modern. Hot tub only fit 3 comfortably.

Perfect Christmas Getaway!

We arrived to a beautiful Christmas tree and decor, it was perfect! The house was the perfect size for a family of four adults. It was clean, beds were comfortable and a fully stocked kitchen. The driveway way flat but it is definitely up the mountain to get to the cabin, but perfect location. We loved our stay at Ski'n with The Bears!!❤️

Beach Evac to Mountain Bliss

Every year we go to the a beach house for our annual family vacation. We were evacuated because of Hurricane Dorian. In a last minute efforts to find a family getaway inland we found this beautiful place. The owner was wonderful and arrange our arrival the same day, going above and beyond!!! Was absolutely a beautiful place to stay and even had some bears come up to the back deck!

Great Home, super clean and great location

Super nice home in a great location. The house was very modern but had s cozy feel to it. The kitchen was well equipped for making any type of dinner. The bedrooms were very spacious and the entire house was clean. We had a very nice family vacation here. The owners of the home were very accommodating and were there to help in anyway. Thanks again for a lovely stay and hope to be back one day!

Beary awesome views of nature/wildlife!

The property was just what we needed for our family vacation! SO many bears! I would definitely recommend to others. Communication with the owners was great as well. Overall I would rate a 4.5 out of 5! Our only issue was all the patio furniture could have been cleaned/washed.

Absolutely Lovely!

Large windows, vaulted ceiling, open floorplan, upper and lower decks, a keurig, and some shelf-stable, starter pantry items. (The ONLY things needed were extra trash bags and tissues, but you have to provide your own). We saw a male black bear on day 2, shortly after we grilled burgers. The next day, we saw a Mama bear and her 3 cubs. We loved the private hot tub, the scenery, the location, the comfort of the cabin, and the AMAZING, SPACIOUS master shower!

Great Access to GSMNP

The house was beautiful and in a great accessible location to GSMNP. We loved how easy it was to leave the neighborhood and drive right into the park without fighting the Gatlinburg traffic. It was well-stocked and very comfortable. Our children are 14, 13, 10, and 7, and everyone had a bed to themselves. One day, a curious bear crawled under the house while we were out hiking and broke a water line. She learned about it and called the plumber before we even returned to the house. Michelle had the issue resolved quickly and communicated throughout the evening. What might have been a big problem was painless for us due to Michelle's quick problem-solving and her dependable plumber! I would highly recommend her property. We certainly enjoyed our time there!

Ski with the bears

This cabin fit our family nicely even when an unexpected couple joined us for one night (used the sofa bed that they were very complementary of). The kitchen was well equipped. My only suggestion is that the charcoal grill was in such bad shape that we were afraid to use it; might be time to replace. Also the owner suggested that I use an available extension cord with the electric grill. Unfortunately that can’t happen as the grill cord has three prongs and the extension cord only two. Bummer!
