The Great House is part of The Oasis Marigot Villas. This is a beautiful home overlooking the entire Marigot Bay. It's wonderfully located for great views, privacy, and proximity to the beach and restaurants. It accommodates up to 8 people, and can still be affordable for 2.

A Caribbean-style house overlooking the beautiful Marigot Bay. Enjoy this spacious home with a private pool and truly wonderful views. A large open balcony makes for a great dining spot. There are 4 bedrooms in total, as well as a pull-out bed, accommodating up to 8 people.

A/C in 3 bedrooms Only. The mezzanine and cottage bedrooms do not have a/c.

- 20 minute walk to the beach at Marigot Bay (or 5-minute drive)

The first level can only be accessed from the outside by a separate entrance.

Bedrooms
Upper level: There are 3 bedrooms (3 Queen-Size Beds, 1 double bed) on the upper level. One of the bedrooms (1 double bed) is a mezzanine and it has no a/c. There is a ceiling fan to keep it cool. There is a steep staircase to access it.

First level: There is 1 bedroom (1 queen size bed) with a/c. The first level can only be accessed from the outside by a separate entrance.

Detached cottage: is located by the pool deck. Please let me know in advance if you will need this bedroom. Note: There is no a/c in this bedroom and guests must use the pool bathroom which has a shower.

Laundry may be done by staff only at $12 USD per load. The guest does not have access to the washer/dryer.

A/C in 3 bedrooms Only. The mezzanine and cottage bedrooms do not have a/c.

There is no grocery store located in Marigot Bay, I highly recommend stocking the villa with groceries on arrival. Please ask for more details on this service. The closest grocery store is located in Cul de Sac-Massy (20 min drive away).

Magical views

We were a group of five women and we go to different places every year and always look for homes with spectacular views and this one did not disappoint. The house is way up in the hills and looks out onto the bay and ocean and it did not disappoint. The house is just lovely, very clean and comfortable, quiet and serene. We enjoyed our stay and will for sure highly recommend to others.

Amazing views of Marigot Bay

The Great House on Marigot Bay was a delightful place to stay! Our family enjoyed the amazing views from the Terrace. The pool area was a great place to hang out. I was very thankful for air conditioning in the bedrooms. Management was pleasant to work with and we relied on Taxi transportation with Albert and Ethan! Will come here again someday!

Fantastic Stay

I absolutely loved my stay at the Great House in Marigot Bay. I'm always touched and blown away by how hospitable St. Lucians are in general, but the amazing staff working at the Great House and Oasis Marigot completely made us feel at home and was willing to help with anything we needed. The home itself was decorated to a tee and the fully equipped kitchen enabled us to make some unforgettable meals. Thanks so much to the staff and thanks to the hosts for having us. We look forward to returning very soon :)

Fabulous locationLovely poolGood accommodation- separate flat on ground floor and pool room could be made clearer in description. The arrangement is very good for a big group.We loved the walk down to the little beach next to Marigot that we found only by exploring. Worth mentioning in property description. Also worth mentioning how the telephone works although we didn’t need it.

Great House St Lucia

Beautiful house and view on a terrible road. Marigot Bay is beautiful but has very little to offer in the choices on restaurants and grocery stores. The only deficiency of the house was there was literally no screen that fit the window or door frames or had significant holes that you could not open the windows for fresh air in thevening without greeting lots of bugs. Otherwise a great house.

Beautiful view

We had a lovely week in the Great House, a truly beautiful location and view. We enjoyed the local restaurants and the golf buggy ride back from The Villa restaurant! JJ’s is a must, beware of the rum punch ! The mezzanine bedroom has privacy shutters, but open space above that to the lounge/kitchen area, so any movement in those areas will easily be heard in the bedroom above. The shutter windows in all the bedrooms do not have glass in them so you will wake with birdsong/dogs barking, also the bedroom a/c has to fight against warm air coming in constantly. The lower bedroom is reached by an external staircase only. The villa management were very helpful.

Renew With the View

This home is the perfect place if you want to relax and renew with a spectacular view of Marigot Bay. It opens up to expansive view of the Carribean sea and is dotted with sailboats. Sunrise and sunset are amazing, and flowers and greenery abound. It's a nice walk down to the Bay and a moderate walk back up the hill. We did this everyday. You can take a water taxi or land guide to the other towns nearby. The taxi driver, Albert, recommended by the host, will take care of you like family. If you're looking for relaxation and calm at the end of the day, this house is Great! It is clean, nice kitchen and the primary bedroom is just lovely. Outdoor seating on both levels overlook the bay and is a perfect spot to stargaze in the evening with a cool ocean breeze. We would stay here again without reservation.

Perfect Getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Great House from the moment we arrived and saw the incredible view of Marigot Bay. Christine greeted us and took great care of our family of 7 while we were there. Brian kept the pool looking clean and inviting. My 3 grandchildren had so much fun swimming and playing in the pool daily. We had arranged for a local cook, Anselma, to have dinner ready for us upon arrival. She and her daughter, Niomi, prepared a Caribbean feast for us which was so delicious and greatly appreciated after a long day of travel. During our week on St Lucia, we took both the North and South sailing tours with Captain Chris and crew and highly recommend anyone visiting do the same. Oasis Marigot Guest Services also helped us arrange for a day of zip lining in the rainforest - so much fun for all of us! We highly recommend staying at the Great House if you're planning a trip to St Lucia with your family.

Better than advertised

Excellent stay, plenty of space, good appliances and the accuracy of the VRBO listing is spot on. The view is truly incredible and always a breeze to sit on the deck. Marigot Bay itself is nice and has a small beach but you're nicely situated between Castries and Sugar Beach and lots in between. Of note: its a tough drive, plan accordingly if you've never been. The roads are in tough shape and drivers are much more brave on the hairpin turns than you will be. Also, we'd say the water pressure was not great...often there would be none and then it would come back and would cycle between this. It was semi-frustrating with just two of us, couldn't imagine if the hosue was maxed out. Really friendly management team, very responsive and accommodating. We highly recommend this property

Great Family Vacation!

We had a WONDERFUL Family vacation! The House was “Great”! We definitely have the desire to return in the future! Christine was our house keeper. She was EXTREMELY friendly, very reliable, and answered a lot of questions for us. My only complaint would be the cable television. It really was not a good connection and being a huge college basketball fan, it was frustrating watching the NCAA basketball games on a “fuzzy” TV. Not a huge deal, but something I would look into if I owned the house. UPDATE: I SHARED THIS REVIEW AND WITHIN 24 HOURS, OWNERSHIP TOLD ME THEY WERE LOOKING INTO THE CABLE. The WIFI was excellent. We loved the decks, views, and pool! The land, vegetation, and scenery were absolutely beautiful. It reminded me of Hawaii which is very unique in the Caribbean. My best comment is that it was NOT our typical vacation. A typical vacation is staying at a Hilton or Marriott surrounded by HUGE crowds and American Restaurants. We LOVED the seclusion and the non-commercial build up that you typically get. I considered “rustic” being a tremendous compliment. I would definitely recommend The Great House in Marigot Bay to friends and family! Awesome house at a very reasonable price!

Stunning location with breathtaking views

Everything about our stay at this location was lovely with one rather uncomfortable exception - A/C. Maybe our "bad" - we stayed in July, a very hot month, but we felt that only having A/C in two bedrooms upstairs and nowhere else in the house (with owner notes to keep those doors closed) was insufficient for our comfort. We were VERY hot. And since we enjoy cooking and eating home cooked meals, the heat level was that much more excruciating. One helpful fix the owner could do is get a screen door for the large sliding glass doors at the dining area adjacent to the kitchen - the cross breeze was often a relief, but allowing mosquitos in often made that option undesirable. That aside, the owner was incredibly responsive and helpful, there was a surprise cleaning staff on hand a couple times in our ten day stay, the pool was a welcoming relief (although the relentless sun was not - a couple poolside umbrellas would be a sincerely welcome respite). Other notes for future travelers - beware the driving: St Lucia roads are CRAZY. Back home in upstate New York we live on a rough dirt road in the countryside. St Lucia roads are far worse. Constant hairpin turns, deep and frequent potholes. We rescued a car of other travelers that hit one of those potholes & blew out their tire ahead of us. The road to the gorgeous guest house can be treacherous, not for the faint hearted. I brought Dramamine in case we did any boat travel, and used it for longer car rides, if that gives you an idea!

Paradise in the mountains !

First things first, the views from the balconies on this property are to die for. Overlooking Marigot bay and all the lovely boats that pass by each day were definitely the best part about this villa. My hubby and I loved the fact this property was tucked away in the beautiful landscape of St Lucia with ultimate privacy and seclusion we always seek for when on vacation. Marigot bay is truly an untouched beautiful gem, filled with the loveliest people so if that is what you are looking for, then you’ve found it ! Special highlight to the property managers as they were so quick and diligent with their responses and answered all and every question I had about this property. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay! Thank you for sharing this beautiful home with us. We hope to be return back soon!

It was amazing, the house was wonderful, the view were stunning! Albert and Ethan were so helpful ❤️

We had a wonderful time! Woke up every morning to the most amazing views and opening the windows and doors for the lovely cool breeze was heavenly❤️Albert and Ethan were the best, getting us to places and suggestions. The pool was perfect! We swam at Marigot Bay, Reddit beach and Sugar beach every one was different but all of them were great. We took a catamaran to the waterfalls, the mud baths and snorkeling,had a great lunch! My daughter’s family went zip lining and loved it. We went to Carnival in Castries and my 9 year old granddaughter got a big set of wings, a man came over and put them on her and walked away! And we brought them home on the plane😁The Great House is great, it is a little hard getting around, we didn’t rent a car, the roads are not easy to drive, they drive on the left and we just didn’t feel comfortable. Albert and Ethan were the best. Thank you to everyone Lauren, Albert , Ethan Miranda, Beverly, Christina and Brian it was the best!!!!!!!!!

Magical house overlooking the bay

We stayed at "The Great House" villa and had a spectacular time. We were in love with the 360 degree views of the magnificent St. Lucian waters from our villa perched on top of the hill. The villa was stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The kitchen was packed with high quality tools (pots, pans, knife set, tuber ware, etc.) which made cooking a breeze. The staff was fantastic and was always nearby to help if anything was needed. The home was beautifully furnished and clean. Highly recommend.

Exceptional property in a prime location

Most Beautiful Place in the World

My husband and I stayed here for a week in November and it couldn't have been more perfect! The view from the Great House is absolutely breathtaking and it's something I'll never forget. The home was spacious and well-maintained. We felt like we were staying in a hotel--dish washer was emptied, new towels every day, bed made every day, etc. Everyone at the front desk was helpful whenever calling to inquire about an excursion. The house is also located conveniently with a 10 min. walk to the bay, where there are plenty of restaurants and shops. We also took the water ferry over to the beach on the other side (it cost about $3USD). We can't wait to come back!

A VERY Special Place to Stay in St. Lucia

What a spectacular location on the hillside in Marigot Bay, which could be the prettiest bay in the Caribbean. The Great House is placed about halfway up the hill on the south side of the bay. It is a steep 10-12 min walk from the marina, or a <5 minute drive. The house and yard are very well maintained. Both maid and gardener were very helpful when we need them, and present for an hour or more every day except one day each week (don't remember which day). The ads for The Great house are not very clear; there are two(+) rental units at The Great House. A 1BR 1BA with living room and kitchen downstairs, a spacious 3BR 2BA home upstairs, and a "honeymoon cottage" out past the pool (quite private). The two of us stayed at the downstairs unit. It was nicely decorated and roomy for the two of us. Only the bedroom had A/C, but we did not feel the need for it in the living room and kitchen because there was often a nice ocean breeze that flows nicely through if you leave the window shutters open. The pass-through bathroom was a little awkward. I would not advise this lower unit for more than two people unless they are a "close" family or very chummy friends. But the upstairs unit looked fantastic for three couples or a large family. We did not see the cottage except from the outside. The lower unit has a nice private patio underneath the upper floor's veranda. It is a great place for a meal at the four-seat patio table. However there is just enough high vegetation on the other side of the perimeter wall, so you can't see much of the bay from the patio table. But step off the patio to the wall and you can see most of the bay very well. Upstairs the view is unobstructed and encompasses the entire bay; truely spectacular! There aren't more than a handful of views like this on Marigot Bay even though there are plenty of rooms and rentals available. The pool and deck shared between the two is easily large enough for 8-12 people, depending the level of activity. The view of the whole bay (between the trees) is fantastic. Finally, the property management company, Oasis Marigot Hotel & Villas Rentals, was very good. Their office was right across the bay, housekeeping was at our rental every day but one.
