Not as expected
Location is an abandoned resort. The resort has many abandoned buildings scattered throughout. The setting is spectacular but we were unprepared for this - it’s a bit jarring.
As for the rest:
- This unit is not fully renovated - kitchen and bath nice but the rest not. Baseboards for instance not finished. Light switches and outlets very old.
- Not clean. We had to wipe down everything; the kitchen table had dirty linen on it (we removed) and the side table we wiped down with a sponge which was completely covered in grime. Cabinets not wiped down, doors need refinishing
- The outside patio hasn’t been swept - beach chairs covered in grime.
- TV had to be unplugged due to non functioning outlet and plugged into one using an extension cord
- Patio doors strangely are only screen doors, not possible to fully close. It was cold when we were here and neighbors made very smelly Chinese food - no way to get away from odors
- The resort was a closed hotel; several buildings are abandoned as is the main lodge - all in disrepair.
