About this property
Enjoy a little R&R at the Reef & Reel
Everyone needs a little R&R every now and then. The Reef & Reel provides plenty of rest and relaxation. The beach is only 100 yards from the front door by way of the boardwalk beach access across the street. Little Lagoon is only 50 yards out the back door, where you will find your very own boat slip. This property provides a fishing dock, private sandy beach area on the lagoon, and a small community pool. This house has it all! Located 3.7 miles from the intersection of Hwy 59 on West Beach Blvd, you are close to the great restaurants and shopping but yet in a very quiet part of Gulf Shores.
Right out the front door of this house you will find a breath taking view of the Gulf of Mexico. The back deck has a great view of Little Lagoon. This lagoon is famous for record catches of spotted trout, red fish, flounder, and stingrays. Our family favorite is catching blue crab. Of course, you can clean your fish at the fish cleaning station at the pier, which goes out into the lagoon. Have your own boat? You can keep it in the waters during your stay using the private boat slip. You can enjoy access to the community swimming pool. This is NOT a condo ... this is your own house. It is very hard to find a 3 bedroom, 3 bath house with a great gulf view, a lagoon for fishing, a swimming pool, and lots of privacy!
The home sleeps 10 with 2 king bed, 1 queen beds, a queen sleeper sofa, and 2 twin roll-away beds. There are also 3 full baths. Two bedrooms and two baths are upstairs and both have incredible views of the gulf that open onto a large deck. The third bedroom and bath are downstairs with a deck looking out onto the lagoon. There are tables and chairs on all of the decks. Also, you will find on the first floor a kitchen, eating area, living room, and laundry room. Sliding doors take you from the living room onto a deck overlooking the gulf. The living room has ample sitting options. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need. There is a 47" high definition TV in the living room and high definition TVs in each bedroom. Oversized vans nor campers will fit under the house. There is only 3 parking spaces available under the house. The neighborhood does have a few first come spots for oversized vehicals.

About the host
Hosted by Shannon & Tom Martin, Jessica & John Boroff

Our story began in 1984, when Tom’s family moved to Colorado Springs, where he became neighbors with John. Both just freshmen in high school, little did they know that would be the start of a friendship that would last a lifetime. After high school, both moved to different states, but always kept in touch. Eventually John and Jessica moved to Alabama to finish college along with Tom and Shannon and all four graduated from Auburn University in Montgomery. Through high school, moving to different states, starting college, meeting their future wives, and now raising children together, the friendship has survived 41 years. John and Jessica have made a career of caring for others. Both being nurses, they run their own health care company in Auburn and have 2 children, Kayla and Jabe. Kayla attended Troy University where she is majoried in nursing. She is currently is working at Baptist South in Montgomery, AL as a NICU nurse. Jabe just completed 2 years at Enterprise State Community College where he played baseball and will continue his baseball career next year at Troy University.
Tom is a successful salesman and Shannon is a retired elementary school teacher. They have one son who is an electrical project manager for Crosby Electric in Montgomery, AL. We have hopes of all retiring in the near future and enjoying a life at our “Happy Place”, the Beach.
