From the moment we arrived, the place had a truly beautiful home away from him feel- we felt instantly comfortable and settled. The accommodation is fully equipped with everything you could need: pots, pans, plates and bowls, glasses, cups, coffee maker, toaster washing machine ( with washing liquid) , dishwasher ( with tablets)-nothing was missing. We slept like bears! The beds and pillows were comfortable, ensuring perfect rest after our days out.The location is a dream: peaceful and scenic, with a Carrefour just 7 minutes away by car and a lovely boulangerie close by as well. Jean-Michel was a fantastic host -warm, kind and very thoughtful. He even offered to let us stay an extra night, as we were due to leave on Saturday and the next guests were only arriving on Monday. Unfortunately we had to leave for our Shuttle, but it was a sweet and generous gesture.If we ever come back to the area, we wouldn’t hesitate for a second to stay here again. Thank you so much, Jean -Michel- everything was perfect.

A great stay

Really pleased to have found this property. Well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. It's a bit out of the way, but that suited us fine and worth the views of the valley and surrounding mountains! No complaints - we will definitely be back!

Beautiful apartment in lovely valley

We had a great week staying here in Verchaix. The apartment was great for a family of 4 - very spacious and comfortable. We have skied a number of times in the area before and this trip did not disappoint. Communication was excellent and the views across the valley are stunning. We may well visit again one summer.

Very nice and comfortable appartement, with everything one could wish for if you like cooking. Stunning view on the mountains. Good location for skiing, with only a 5 min drive to the lifts in Morillion. We really enjoyed staying. Thank you Jean Michel and Nelly!

Great apartment in fabulous location

This was our second stay at this lovely apartment. It is very spacious, comfortable and equipped with everything you need. It also has superb views of the mountains from the outside seating areas. Thanks again to the hosts Nellie and Jean-Michel. We look forward to returning in the future.

Fantastic apartment with amazing view

Beautiful apartment on the ground floor of the owners chalet. Very well furnished, the chalet is in Verchaix, just above Morillon, and only a short drive to the ski lift station. The owners were very accommodating to our late arrival, and although they don't speak much English, they were very friendly and helpful. This would be an ideal summer accommodation as well as winter.

Very Comfortable

Just returned from spending the New Year in the apartment, the ground floor accommodation is very clean with all modern appliances and was more than comfortable for a family of 4. The house is situated on the side of the valley with stunning views, the owners who live above are always you felt just a knock away from helping in anyway or they give you the privacy you may require. This is a great holiday location and we’d be more than happy to return in the future.

Our Annual Ski trip

This was our third visit to this apartment. It is spacious, comfortable and fully equipped. In short, to us this is the perfect apartment. Our hosts, Nellie and Jean-Michel, are very helpful and friendly at all times (including rescuing us when our car was unable to climb the steep slope up to the house in the snow!). The apartment is beautifully located with a spectacular view down the Giffre valley.

A lovely apartment

This is a beautifully presented and well equipped apartment in a lovely location with extensive views of the mountains all around. Nellie and Jean-Michel are very friendly and helpful hosts. Sadly the French ski resorts were closed down on the day of our arrival so we only stayed for 6 nights before we had to return to the UK because of the restrictions caused by COVID 19. We hope to return to this apartment in the future and to be able to ski the Grand Massif!

Give yourself and family a treat

This is our second visit to this property and we would most certainly visit again. The views from the property and from the garden are spectacular. Watching the sunset over Le Mole peak is wonderful. It is warm and welcoming in the winter, and the generous seating outside provides for summer visitors. The facilties are modern, clean and second to none. The two bedrooms make it ideal for a couple with two young children, as well as being perfect for options up to four to 5 people. (Our party was just two people.) Nelly and Jean Michel have successfully striven to make the place as good as it is. They are warm and welcoming and readily available should you need them. We have no critisisms at all. Verchaix covers a large area of the mountain. There are many walks here, but you will need your own transport for shopping. The Haut-Giffre offers lots of places to go. (During the winter season a bus is available nearby for accessing the skiing at Morillon and Samoens.)

Peaceful modern Alpine apartment

Jean Michel and Nelly were superb and kindly hosts who made such a difference to our stay. It is a very relaxing place. The apartment is surprisingly quiet although there are a lot of other buildings around. Even in September you could sunbathe in the outside space, as it is a suntrap (we had amazing weather with only one day of rain/snow). Everything is modern and light. No bath but great shower. It is spacious, very well equipped and easy to run. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into it - like fab automatic shutters making the rooms properly dark. All the fiddly little things you need like dishwashing tablets, coffee pods were provided. There is a large garage to store stuff like skies and climbing gear. It is only about five minutes from a good supermarket in the valley. The bakery in Samoens is very good. Samoens/Sixt has excellent walking. Fine views of the Mont Blanc range once you get up high. We did a superb and varied four day trek between refuges including a marvellous 3000m peak - Buet. The area is well set up for summer activities - walking, rock climbing, alpinism, biking, kayaking (and all those other French water activities like hydrospeed), via ferrata. Bear in mind lifts, pools etc close at the end of August - although it gets much quieter then.

Nous avons passé un excellent et agréable séjour dans le chalet. Le logement est neuf, propre, bien équipé et très cosy. Les propriétaires, sont très accueillants, gentils et bienveillants (arrivés tard, ils ont pris soin de vérifier que nous ne manquions de rien pour le dîner ainsi que le petit-déjeuner). Super fijn appartement

Het is een appartement wat goed geschikt is voor 4 personen. Het is ruim, gezellig en netjes. Alle voorzieningen waren aanwezig. Het tweepersoonsbed was wel een beetje smal. Maar prima geslapen. Jean-Michel en Nelly zijn super aardig en boden ons zelfs wat lekkere streekproducten aan bij aankomst. Zeker een aanrader!

Un bel endroit pour profiter de la montagne

Jean-Michel et Nelly nous ont accueilli dans les meilleurs conditions et ont toujours été disponibles. Le chalet est très agréable, jolie décoration, très bien agencé et équipé, il ne manque rien. La semaine que nous avons passé a été neigeuse et impossible de faire du ski à cause des restrictions liées au Covid 19. Nous avons pu néanmoins rayonner tout autour et y trouver toutes les activités voulues (patinoire, marche en racket, ski de fond, luge, bonhomme de neige et batailles de boule de neige. Encore une fois merci à nos hôtes et nous reviendrons dans les prochaines années
