Absolutely superb. Would have liked it in within easy walking distance of shop and restaurant but that is the only minor drawback

Lovely country house

We loved our stay in Villandry and particularly enjoyed the hot tub and looking after the chickens! Ideally situated for exploring the Loire Valley area.

A lovely house with a huge garden. We enjoyed it here. So quiet and a wonderful place to see unusual birds -pair of golden Oriole and some turtle doves being among them. Looking after the chickens was quite fun. They are in a pen-although the free-range chicks (if there happen to be any), are a challenge for anyone with a dog with hunting ambitions.We enjoyed exploring the area.

Our host Celine was charming and friendly. After showing us round on our arrival she sent a message next day to check everything was OK with us. The house was comfortable, had everything we needed and was in a quiet location with decent sized secure off-road parking. The garden was secluded, with trees providing fruit and chickens at the bottom which we fed and in return provided us with fresh eggs. The village and the picturesque chateau of Villandry and its gardens were only about 20 minutes walk away and the property was well placed for visiting many other chateaux and places of interest.

Nous avons passé une merveilleuse semaine de vacances dans votre maison. La maison est très agréable et bien équipée, avec tout ce qu’il faut pour passer un excellent séjour : un joli jardin, un jacuzzi et même des poules !Une vraie maison à la campagne, au calme, tout en étant à deux pas des magnifiques châteaux de la Loire.Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir l’année prochaine !Encore un grand merci pour votre accueil et pour cette belle semaine.

Ein sehr schön, liebevoll und vollständig eingerichtetes Haus mit einem großen Garten. Das Haus verfügt über eine hochwertig eingerichtete Küche mit allen Geräten und einem Kaffeevollautomaten. Die Lage ist ländlich und ruhig, etwas abseits. Für den Einkauf benötigt man ein Auto. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und unkompliziert. Hund ist akzeptiert.Wir haben eine sehr angenehme Woche an der Loire verbracht. Bestens geeignet für Radtouren und Besichtigungen der unzähligen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Gerne wieder.

Attention! la surface de 140m² ne correspond pas à la réalité : tout au plus 80m² ; de nombreuses pièces sont fermées. Les chambres sont assez exiguës en particulier celle à 2 lits ; nous avons été gênés par les bruits de toiture par grand vent. L'équipement en ustensiles de cuisine est pauvre. Sinon, la maison est bien chauffée et bien située pour organiser des visites de châteaux.

Fahrradtouren an der Loire

Es war sehr schön. Mit dem Fahrrad konnten wir die Umgebung gut erkunden. Villandry ist ein schöner Ort. Es gibt einen Bäcker. Unser Haus war sehr schön, das Grundstück groß und umzäunt, für Hunde ideal.

Gîte très bien situé!

On a passé une semaine très agréable. Le gîte est spacieux, il y a un grand jardin bien clôturé, ce qui.est idéal quand on vient avec un chien. C'était un plaisir de pouvoir soigner les poules. C'est très calme et on se retrouve au milieu de tous les châteaux. Idéal pou la visite. On est très satisfait!

ein kleines Paradies

sehr schönes, modern ausgestattetes Haus inmitten eines paradiesischen Gartens; Vogelgezwitscher allenthalben - im Mai die Nachtigallen im Wäldchen gegenüber; für alle, die Ruhe suchen ideal, auch perfekte Lage für die Erkundung der unzähligen Sehenswürdigkeiten in nächster Nähe; Schloss Villandry fußläufig zu erreichen; dort auch ein exzellenter Bäcker; Supermärkte in Langeais und Azay-le-Rideau und dort auch neben Carrefour ein Coop bio-Supermarkt.

Séjour très agréable

Nous avons passé avec nos deux enfants de 3 et 7 ans un tres bon séjour. La maison est propre, bien entretenue et bien équipé et idéalement située pour visiter les châteaux, parcs et caves. Nous recommandons cette location.

Peaceful

The gite is surrounded by open fields and the air is full of birdsong! It is well equipped and comfortable. A pleasant 20 minute walk to Villandry where there are a number of restaurants and and an excellant boulangerie. Lots of interesting sites beautiful rivers and countryside close by.

Stunning area, lovely house

Loved this house and garden. Set in a quiet and peaceful area close to Chateau Villandry with some great places to relax over a meal or a drink and just chill for a few days.

Tres tres bon sejour

Le detail de l annonce est conforme à ce que nous trouvons dans la maison. Celine nous a réservé un accueil tres sympathique et agréable. Elle est tres arrangeante sur l heure d arrivée et de depart. La maison est tres bien entretenue et propre et nous avons trouvé tout ce qu il faut. Les exterieurs sont vraiment agencés avec goût et que dire des 2 terrasses. Les poules, dont nous avons pris plaisir à nous occuper, nous ont donné des oeufs d une fraicheur incomparable. Ne pas oublier de nourrir la petite tortue qui se trouve dans son petit parc devant la maison. Coté resto : à 2km de la location, aller sans hesiter à l Etape Gourmande. Question pratique : le distributeur de légumes du maraicher à l entrée de Villandry est tres pratique comme celui des baguettes à coté de la boulangerie. Les allentours sont vraiment à découvrir...les jardins du chateaux de Villandry, Langeais et son chateau, Chinon et sa forteresse et son resto Jeanne de France sur la place de la ville au pied du chateau, Saumur et son petit train, sa distillerie Combier, son resto Sur les Quais, l abbaye de fontevraud..enfin bon 8 jours ne sont pas suffisants et nous reviendrons avec plaisir dans cette location. S il y avait un souhait à émettre pour se sentir comme un peu plus chez soi, serait d avoir des oreillers ergonomiques, une barre pour tenir le pommeau dans la baignoire et une cafetiere pour café moulu. Pour conclure : allez y les yeux fermés.
