Aaron,
Thank you for coming. We hope to host you and your family and friends again.
Nice place with lots of room for our family of 8. We were attending NHRA event which this property was extremy close and very easy to get to the track. Would definitely stay here again.
We were very pleased with the home and enjoyed our stay very much. Ava was very responsive to me and was a pleasure to work with. If we are ever in need of a place to stay in the Charlotte area, we would definitely consider this home again.

William and his guest were great to have as visitors. I would love to have them again any time they return to Charlotte.
The house was very nice, and in a great neighborhood. Close to where I needed to go. The host was very good and easy to contact. And the price was right.

Wonderful guest to have... They left everything clean. I would love to have them again.
Would NOT Recommend.Host unprofessional/ Residence unclean & Unkept. All kitchen appliances filthy.
VRBO was very assisting. Our stay was during Thanksgiving week, (11 hour drive from home) while visiting family in NC. Very disappointed. ISSUES: 1)price gauging in contract by host. 2. Unclean..baths, guest closets full as storage, broken window, kitchen 3

All homeowners have to replace and repair. Its the nature of homeownership. Washing machine was repaired during Michell's visit.

Needed more towels
Our reservation was for 11 people for 4 nights and we only had 11 towels. There were none in the bathroom or kitchen so we had to search for them. I didn’t find any extra blankets. And the property was not ready at check in time. It was generally clean but wasn’t the standard I’m used to.

Glenda's group left the property clean, followed the rules, and notified us when they left. No problems at all. They are welcomed to return.
When we arrived the cleaning supplies were spread out on the steps. Obviously cleaning had not been completed. House felt and smelled dirty. Shower in hall had crooked curtain rod that limited space and could get hot OR cold water-not warm. I have stayed in VERBOS before. My worst experience

Well, you please them all. I have white carpet which is cleaned and sanitized very often. This cleaning crew does a very good job of cleaning and sanitizing the restrooms and floors which I checked myself. They were rushed to leave and left few cleaning supplies out which they told the supervisor, who unfortunately forgot to go back by and put up . However, they did finish all the cleaning and are following COVID 19 guidelines.
Pros:
Great location for our needs, bathrooms/kitchen/linens were all clean, easy check in and out
Cons:
Could use some TLC and attention - kitchen faucet broken, trash in the backyard, broken couch, cut linoleum in kitchen, porch was burnt on one corner and railing was apart and potentially unsafe. Owner messaged us about the porch (stated a previous guest had caught it on fire) but that was 2 days after our arrival and we had already discovered that. This should have been disclosed earlier given the porch was featured in the listing.
This property is located in an ideal spot for the needs of our trip and could accomidate our entire party. The owner is a real estate agent and uses a cleaning service in between guests. I sent a private message outlining some of the concerns I listed and stated that the house could benefit from some added attention and TLC. There were no dealbreakers but plenty of non-emergent issues which could stand to be fixed. The owner responded and stated that the property would be closed in September (2022) for updating, porch repair and paint. If that ends up happening this could be a great, 5 star house. For the state we found it in, I can only give 3 to 3.5 stars but chose to give 4 for location and cleanliness of bathrooms and kitchen.

The TLC issues were addressed. The kitchen facet needs a screw, its usable but loose with no dripping water. However, we plan to replace it while upfiting the kitchen. Two issues we are having to deal with waiting on the work order is (1) the end sectional couch has a broken cross wood piece and is still under warranty with the furniture company and we are on hold waiting for it to be fixed. (2) The deck is waiting on AIR Cover insurance through Airbnb that has taken over 4 months to respond to the estimates sent. The rest of the deck is safe ... the area where the fire occurred has been sectioned off. September these matters are scheduled to be corrected.

Not an enjoyable stay
Family traveled to Charlotte to spend Christmas with grandson who is stationed at Fort Bragg. The kitchen was not equipped to prepare a simple dinner, much less a Christmas feast. The owner is a realtor and should know how to show hospitality to her guests.
The pots & pans were old and had gunk all over them; lots of lids for non-existing pots/pans; only 8 place settings (plates, silverware) so we were constantly washing dishes for our party of 6 adults and 1 child. You can buy quality items at a resale store, such as Goodwill, for very reasonable prices; the kitchen items should be scraped … Goodwill would have a hard time selling the pots, pans, etc.
Tops of the island in the kitchen and a round coffee table in the living room weren’t attached to their bases and constantly a hazard. I notified the owner of this and she said “renovations were planned.” I feel “renovations planned” should have shown in the description; if it were my house, I would take the listing out of service and when completed, then resist it at the price I paid.
Hostess listed bathroom items included, but no shampoo or soap found in house. The bedroom mattresses were very hard and uncomfortable to all of us. The sheets, towels and washcloths were not thick, much less luxurious. The furniture was only adequate; there was a dresser in the master, so I could unpack. Secondary bedrooms did not have any storage for socks, underwear, so my family lived out of a suitcase for the week. All cheap hotels have adequate storage, so guests can unpack!
It was expensive and very much overpriced … I wish I had booked a hotel and gone out to eat for our family’s Christmas dinner; I don’t feel like I got my money’s worth.
As a VRBO owner in metro Atlanta, hospitality is the name of the game … making your guests comfortable; providing an accurate description with supporting photos; providing items listed, etc.
I would NOT rent this house again, nor recommend it to anyone I know.

Well, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too fellow VRBO owner... I don't know how you all work in the big city of Atlanta but here Charlotte, VRBO owners fellowship and if we are visiting other VRBO sites we leave “helpful” comments to each other. Right now, I have hand sanitizer and all the bathrooms (a good start for Guest in the latest Pandemic I would say) ...you can buy whatever soap you want, the Dollar store is right down the street. It is apparent you did not plan for your visit well, you definitely did not assess what you needed for your Christmas meals & guest... pack of paper plates, tins for cooking, plastic silverware, and baking bags is all that you needed to buy you can cook whatever you want. I don't shop for 2nd hand pots & pans at Goodwill. I did notice how you scratched up the non-stick frying pan on site and I have a corningware baking bowl missing. You also know I have 2 sofa couches from the pictures. They are not as soft as regular beds, so I have extra sofa pads to place on them for sleeping purposes on the shelves. You didn’t use them for your guest.
Bottom line sounds like you are short on hosting skills. And YES, I am a Realtor and enjoying the experience thoroughly(since 1981). You might want to try it, sounds like you need to get out of the kitchen when you are on vacation & washing dishes. Note: there were more Holiday dishes in the dining room credenza.
This was a great property for a family gathering. It was nicely appointed and comfortable. It was a great place for an extended family visit and much nicer than a hotel.
My family and I enjoyed our stay at the house. There was 9 of us and everyone had enough room to themselves. The owner was easy to deal with and was available anytime needed. No hassle booking in and out and the house was in a quiet neighborhood.
The place was clean, no problems with the owners or their neighbors.
