Nama-stay, sweet pink Saugatuck Shores beach cottage

Our charming beach cottage is available in the exclusive Saugatuck Shores area, literally steps to the water (150 steps to be exact!). The neighborhood is great for walking, running, biking and water sports. The house is located on a peninsula, so there is water at every turn. You can experience the truly spectacular morning sunrises and afternoon sunsets. In the summer, walks to the yacht club for an informal lunch or lounging on the several small beaches nearby are lovely ways to spend the day. Our cottage is located within easy distance of the highways (I-95 and the Merritt Parkway), the train station and the downtown areas of Westport and South Norwalk with all their shops and restaurants.

Our home is sweetly decorated and has been curated with relaxation and beach living in mind. It has three bedrooms downstairs, each with a queen bed. Upstairs is an entire second floor loft space done in bright white strips with a large desk and an oversized pouf - ( there are no beds in this space any longer).

There are two bathrooms with Waterworks and Restoration Hardware fixtures and a petite yet gourmet kitchen with Italian marble countertops, stainless steel appliances, a farmhouse sink and a Viking range. The dining alcove is especially sweet as it is strewn with seashells. There are two enclosed porches plus an extra large yard fenced yard with outdoor grill.

Cloud 9 is the perfect place to rest your head while in town for business or pleasure.

Rentals longer than 1 month may be subject to different pricing and utility inclusions / exclusions.

The furniture changes frequently as we are decorators and are continually imbuing the space with fantastic finds - what remains is the charm and serene energy surrounding the cottage.

SAME DAY BOOKINGS WELCOME if we have availability. Homeaway does not allow this automatically so reach out to us if this is your situation.

***Fall 2024*** Our calendar is set to accommodate one month stays or longer to prevent any short term booking issues with Homeaway - which happen quite often for both travelers and owners. Feel free to write us for a shorter stay. If we can accommodate you, we will try.

Cozy cottage with great energy!

A perfect spot for a weekend getaway! Very comfy beds, lots of areas to lounge comfortably, and a cute backyard area. Very nice neighborhood and minutes away from the cutest downtown area! I loved all the crystals and little positive affirmations placed throughout the property. Would love to come back and stay here again!

Perfect fall respite by the water

Amazing location, cozily & completely appointed cottage that fit us like a glove. Comfortable for a couple or more, good vibes abound at this graciously hosted home. Loaded with charm and lovely, indoor/outdoor spaces, it was our good fortune to find this wonderful respite. Morning coffee on the screen porch looking out at the backyard followed by a walk along the waterways was a fav every day. Lucky we were to find this little slice of harborside heaven!

Cloud 9! Comfy & Cozy & Beachy!!!

I’m in love. This is my dream beach house/she shed style… white and fluffy and soft and charming beyond belief. Pam is a doll and so easy to communicate with. The beach is at the end of the lane- it is stunning, in beautiful Coastal Connecticut. It is absolutely perfect for the two of us, and our doggies- with a lovely fenced in yard.

Perfect little gem

It was the most wonderful 6 days. This home is absolutely beautiful inside and the decor makes you feel so welcome. With such beautiful decor and the home being so clean we were absolutely over the moon that we could bring our fur baby. With the large fenced in yard, our pup felt right at home in no time. Thank you for a wonderful long Labor Day weekend in your beautiful home. We will definitely be back again :)

This place was not at all advertised the way it sounds. Yes it is cute when you pull up, was clean inside super cute place but very tight. Had old dirty window air conditioners that took away from the charm. The back yard smelled of pee so bad and there was bird poop all over the back deck and grill, it was disgusting. That right there was it for my family and I we packed up and did not finish our stay. The owner was willing to clean the grill the following morning but the smell of pee and bird poop was already there could not unsee. The owner kept all of our money was not even reasonable or fair. The listing also states a beach 150 steps that may be true but it is a rock beach and tiny. The area is more of a local place not a place for visitors.

Travelers - please look at the 3 reviews immediately following this family's stay. These folks simply did not fit with Westport nor its upscale amenities or luxe visitors. They honestly should not be renting homes at all. The husband literally said he should burn our house down - are you serious? Plus, they lied about the number of guests. They said they were a couple (probably to get the cheapest rate) when it turned out they were a large family. Uh, had you told the truth, we would have said our sweet beach cottage was not appropriate for you all - especially not a large brutish brood from Buffalo. It seems like they were looking for the Taj Majal at Super 8 prices. The Westport beach isn't to their liking - well excuse us. Plus it is an outright lie about any money being kept - our grand cache from these interlopers is $0. Homeowners, let me be absolutely clear, DO NOT RENT to these people. DO NOT. The husband was ABUSIVE.

This cottage was a fabulous beach retreat! The house is well equipped with all we needed for a stress-free weekend: the beds are very comfortable, the house is only steps from a lovely view of the water and the neighborhood felt very safe! Best Relaxation Ever!

Cloud 9 was the perfect place in every way! Beautiful, cozy, fabulous beds and just amazingly wonderful! The Cloud 9 host was also so helpful and kind. Very understanding with my situation of attending a memorial. I’ve stayed at many VRBOs. This might have been the best one ever. I feel so lucky that I got to stay there. Is there a higher rating than 5 stars? If so, give it to Cloud 9!

Wow! Where did the "we love your property" and want to stay here in the future go? Very strange and very disappointing... Sad you didn't love our oasis like the guests immediately after you..." You will NOT be disappointed. the listing hardly does this place justice. A slice of heaven. So private. So well appointed. Everything was ready for us. The energy in the house is magical. There are plenty of supplies in the kitchen (good knives, glasses, plates, pots, pans and a VIKING STOVE), bathrooms (giant towels galore!) , 2 screened in porches. And the neighborhood is a delight."

Great Stay on Cloud 9

We had a fabulous 3 week stay at 9 Rowland Place - or as it is aptly called "Cloud 9." The house is delightful with a screened in porch, a well stocked kitchen with a great gas stove, an office space on the second floor to die for - and my dog enjoyed the large fenced-in yard very much. I loved listening to the rustle of the bamboo sitting on the porch and, as a runner and walker, the neighborhood is beautiful and quiet and you'll hear the sounds of sea birds and clanking wires on the sailboats. Pam was extraordinarily responsive anytime we had a question or if something needed taken care of in the house (which only happened once and was minor), it was done in no time flat. I would, and have, recommended Cloud 9 to friends.

Great beach cottage

We stayed here over Thanksgiving and we loved the cottage and the location was 2 houses away from the beach road and a lovely walk along Saugatuck shore. Cottage was very cute with small but nice kitchen (viking appliances, granite, etc) and large upstairs loft area. Very nicely decorated (modern but cosy). Owner was very friendly and helpful. Only 5 mins drive from Westport train station. Nice yard at back and screened in porch. Would definitely stay again.
