Summertide -- your PERFECT family vacation spot!
2809 W Beach
2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, 8 bedrooms, all on one level. Heatable pool too. What more could you want? Well, you could wish you have reserved it early because this bit of awesomeness goes a year out!
Added a propane gas pool heater, so YES the pool is heatable to a maximum of 82' (the high side of recommended rec pool temps) to take the chill off! This optional service is by request in advance per night and must be for length of stay (cost varies by season, and has ranged from $65-85, and is based on market pricing for propane gas, and can change at any time, both up and down, until added to a reservation). Fee subject to change due to incredibly high gas rates right now. Simply request the pool be heated any time after making the reservation and at least a week before check in so we can get it on before you arrive. How big is the pool? 27X19', 3-5' deep. Big.
Summer is gone! Spring deals, or get fall and the holidays early! Its MOSTLY gone already too! Or... get a jump on NEXT summer, which is filling fast!
AND... new 360 tour on VRBO/Homeaway!
Summertide. Great Place. 8 bedrooms on a single story! Beachfront. Great pool!
Summertide is a sprawling gulf front home with 8 bedrooms and 5 baths, sleeping up to 26 people. It is located approximately 5.2 miles west of Hwy. 59 on West Beach Blvd., in Gulf Shores. A uniquely designed one level home, Summer Tide features a south and a north wing, each with a fully equipped kitchen and an open deck that wraps around the east side of the property. The layout for this home allows added privacy and is perfect for multiple families, or a family wanting some separation between adults and children.
South Wing (5 bedrooms)
2nd Flr SW BR: King + QSS with ensuite bath
2nd Flr Middle S BR: King with ensuite bath (also has separate entrance to serve as common bath for the South LR and bonus room)
2nd Flr Middle Bunk Room: 2 twin over full bunks, sleeping max of 6
2nd Flr Middle N BR: King with en suite bath (separate entrance to serve as bath for bunk room)
Bonus Room: 1st floor: 2 twin over twin bunks, sleeping up to 4
South LR: QSS
North Wing (3 bedrooms)
2nd Flr SE BR: King with en suite bath (also used as common bath for LR)
2nd Flr NW BR: King with en suite bath (accessed directly from BR but shared with NE BR)
2nd Flr NE BR: King with en suite bath (accessed directly from BR but shared with NW BR)
North LR: QSS
"En suite" means privately and directly accessed from the bedroom (no hallways involved). Note, ensuite baths may also be shared baths (two bedrooms, or a bedroom and a common area), each with independent access to a bath.
Both living areas offer good great gulf views and each includes a queen sleeper sofa for a bit of extra sack space. A ground floor entry features a foyer and sleeping area with two bunk beds that would be great for four children.
The covered and uncovered parking for Summertide is ample. The pool has gates. The beach is awesome, and right there off the deck. This happens to be my turn around spot for short runs from the folks-in-law's house so if you see an old guy plodding along and then taking pics of the place, wave!
Since we have a higher proportion of guests recently who are new to vacation homes, I wanted to mention a few things that may be new to guests who normally stay in hotels or resorts rather than a private home so they are not surprised. As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a "starter supply" of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, except where specifically noted, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also... all our homes have drip coffee makers and most now have Keurigs as well.
That’s it! We think you’ll haver a great stay in our home. Reach out and let us know how we can help!
