Family of five (adults) stayed a week. Very central and yet mostly quiet. Had everything we needed! Only down side was smell of cigarette smoke in the lower level. But very comfortable stay

Response time was excellent. Any problems were fixed in a timely manner. The only thing would be to allow earlier check in if at all possible
My group of six adults had a good stay here. It was clean and spacious and allowed each of us to have our own bed. The check-in process was a little confusing. Despite an email telling me I would get check-in instructions three days prior to check-in, I never received them. I had to frantically call (my calls were never answered) and email when we got to Paris and gratefully they did eventually get back to me via email. They did have someone waiting at the apartment when it was time for us to check-in to explain everything which was very helpful. The apartment was in a good location very close to the metro. Our only complaints is it smelled of cigarette smoke and other renters in the building were noisy late at night. We ended up putting a towel under a doorframe to prevent smoke from coming in under the door. Overall we had a good stay and we would recommend it to others looking for a large apartment in Paris.

Don’t go in the elevator!
Whatever you do - take the stairs… that is if you can find the key. To get into your place and they give you the code to the stairwell.. they were supposed to tell us all of that when we checked in but they didn’t… but that was alright because we took the elevator- except that to reach the 6th floor apartment you need to take the elevator to the 7th floor - they didn’t tell us that upon check in or ever actually- we figured it out as we got stuck. Being stuck in an elevator in a foreign county when you are exhausted from travelling is scary. Especially when there is no one to help you. During the protests didn’t help either. Not a good vibe. I asked a week before arriving about the protests and garbage and they said everything was fun but there was garbage everywhere and of course protests down the street a few nights. Not that I think it’s their fault - they just didn’t admit to it before we arrived. Also if you are booking this through VRBO it’s actually another company that runs it called Sweet Inn and they make you pay all up front and then ask for your passport and I’d and another credit card before they will let you actually check in so it is a bit of a different and more of a painful process than just VRBO. And back to the elevator- it finally let us out and two days later 3 members of my family took it and I refused - which was lucky because they got stuck again.. for a very long time and again, no one around to assist. Another family was downstairs waiting to get a key to their place because they didn’t get one upon check in and were stuck waiting. Our friends recommended this place to us from their trip Earlier last summer - their biggest complaint was having to waking up all the 7 flights of stairs because the elevator was broken - I think they got lucky because they never got stuck in it.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
