The place is in a great location - close to everything but still feels secluded. We enjoyed the cabin and the patio with the hot tub. However, the roof was leaking during a rain storm in the living room that seems to have been there for awhile due to the staining and the washer did not work. We still had a great time!
The cabin overall was clean except for a huge spider web on the fireplace and the fireplace full of ashes so we cleaned it out ourselves in order to stop the ashy smell. All the outdoor furniture was filthy dirty and mesh in some chairs broken and had tears. No instructions for the hot tub. Bathroom showers are very small so a big or tall person wouldn’t be able to use them. No counter space in bathrooms. No usb or c outlets for those than have devices that need charging…which is almost everyone these days. On the positive side it is in a great location and away from other cabins so privacy was good.
We enjoyed our weekend stay and are looking forward to coming again!
The cabin was so cozy, had plenty of things we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub and the view of the creek was nice.
The road getting into the cabin was rough but other than that the stay was perfect!

oven did not work but owner bought and delivered a countertop oven immediately
Cabin was really cute. Location was perfect. Right next to the casino. We got i. At night and like Tom Bodette, they left the light on for us. House is decorated with cute cabin feel. Beds were comfy. Hot tub was nice.
Enjoyed our stay! Cute cabin, great deck. I recommend bringing your own paper products as there were no napkins or paper towels when we arrived. Otherwise, had everything we needed.

Thank you again for staying with us Erin and being a wonderful guests! I am terribly sorry there weren't any paper towels or napkins. We do keep those stocked and I would have been happy to bring some by if we were out. We'll make sure there is plenty stocked for your next visit!

Very tight!
Pulled a tandem axle boat in. Could barely fit by the trees. Hot tub was dirty. Our clothes stank incredibly the next day. Would stay again if they trimmed some trees and cleaned the hot tub.
This is a great location and had tons of potential. Overall we had a good experience. The host was great and communicated clearly. The location alone makes this cabin worth considering. The cabin was comfortable but it was sadly not maintained as well as it should be. It was like it was straightened up before we got there but it wasn’t clean. The hot tub was nice the first night even though the water was really low. I went to fill it up the next morning and saw how dirty it was in the daylight and decided not to use it again. Overall has great potential and would be worth the cost to stay again for privacy and location but not until the cleaning and maintenance is addressed.

We recently stayed at this cabin and overall had a mixed experience. The cabin looks like the photos, so no surprises in appearance. However, there were several issues that made the stay less comfortable than expected. The showers are extremely small—so tight it’s difficult to turn around. The beds are outdated but still reasonably comfortable. One inconsistency was that the instructions ask you to start the dishwasher before leaving, but there is no dishwasher. The living room TV is also outdated (not a smart TV), so there’s no way to stream unless you bring a device—we ended up buying a Roku. The biggest concern was during a rainstorm, when the roof leaked significantly into the living room. We had to use multiple pots and pans to catch water and prevent flooding. We messaged the host but didn’t receive a response, and other reviews suggest this may be ongoing. The hot tub also didn’t seem fully functional, with no clear way to turn it off and low water levels. The road in is very rough, so be prepared.Overall, it’s a cabin with potential, but key issues—especially the roof—need attention to improve the stay.
The cabin was perfect , mostly. Overall it was a great stay. However there were left over undergarments from a previous guest out in plain sight. Gross. The showers were super small. So if you’re larger than an Umpa Lumpa good luck.
We enjoyed our stay, however I really would say some updating is in order. Our heater did not work in the room with the Queen bed. All the windows and blinds could stand a good cleaning and an extra bar stool would be nice. Also, definitely needs a new storm door!
Older cabin, little bit rundown, bathrooms and especially the showers are very small. Linens were old and tattered. Extra blankets and pillows were just laying on the not so clean floors in the closets. Good location close to Hochatown but close to main road so there was quite a bit of road noise. Feel like the pictures oversell it.

roof leaked/ hot tub not hot/ bath door loose/oven didnt work
No where near what’s advertised. Nothing at all cleaned, managers couldn’t careless to correct the problems ( multiple ) and absolutely no interest in making it right. Don’t ruin your trip like I did by giving your $ to these people.

We arrived at property around 10pm When we walked inside heat had been left on which the house was well over 100 degrees. Only 1 window unit cools entire house. Had to open windows to help. Took forever for the house to cool. I Walked out back to discover no one had even bothered to clean up the deck. Pinestraw in chairs and pollen everywhere. The hanging lights over the deck were out. They had only about 10 bulbs shining. The hot tub was off. We didnt arrive at property til around 10 pm. The hot tub takes anywhere from 4-8 hours. Unable to use that . The breaker was flipped for hot tub. I called and the owner didnt answer but called right back. He advised there had been a storm. No problem. Someone should have at least went in and cleaned up alittle bit. Fixed some lights. To dark. We had a massive spider on the roof in our bedroom. Terrifying Fire pit outside was nice but the chairs were nasty. Dirt, mud, pollen....add says walking distance but I must add...walking distance meaning across a busy massive road where there is construction where I was scared to turn my car on...so yes walk thru the construction WALKING UP HILL for about a half mile.
If you are looking for a relaxing get away, “Sweet Life” is the perfect location. Nestled in the woods overlooking Yashau Creek with beautiful fall foliage backdrop.
We will definitely be back and we highly recommend this cabin.
Still has hole in floor ( seen several reviews mentioning this) in one of the bathrooms and showers are tiny. Needs some attention. The hosts were great in responding quickly!?
We are two couples in our 50's/60's.
Cute, quaint, little cabin. We would definitely stay again, but here are some takeaways:
Loved the deck. The steps were a little steep for us older folks. Could add a middle step between levels.
Hot tub was very relaxing. Some of the jet covers were missing but still functioned fine and felt great in the cool evenings.
The view of the creek is pretty much non existent from the deck because of the beautiful trees. There is a clearing to walk down and a rope to hold onto to help guide, but it is very steep and we tried it only 1 time! Had to find a different way up. So don't expect easy access to the creek.
The main reason we don't give it 5 stars is because one of the bathrooms has a significant hole in the floor. They just have the cracked tiles laying over it and tried to cover it with a rug. We expected that it would've been fixed by now since it has been mentioned in reviews since February, but it has not.
