About this property

Breathtaking Views of Mt. LeConte and the Park, Hot Tub and Privacy

Big Blue Mist is a 3 bedroom, 2 full bath, private log cabin located on 2/3 acre with beautiful views of Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Enjoy the panoramic mountain views from the hot tub or from the swing on the wrap around porch.

There is an amazing view of Mt. LeConte from the great room which has a wood burning fireplace, a TV, and a vaulted ceiling. The dining area seats 6 with room for 3 more at the peninsula of the fully equipped kitchen. Two queen bedrooms with TV's and ceiling fans are also located on the main floor along with a full bathroom and a stacked washer and dryer.

Take in the spectacular view of the mountains from the loft which has air hockey, assorted board games, and a futon which sleeps 2 children or 1 adult. A queen suite with a ceiling fan, TV, and a private bathroom is also located on the 2nd floor. You will love this well-furnished cabin!

Located on Bluff Mountain, Big Blue Mist is only minutes from Pigeon Forge and The Island, 7 miles from Dollywood, 10 miles from the less crowded Wears Valley (or Wears Cove) entrance to the park, and about 15 miles from Gatlinburg and the main park entrance. After a day of excitement and activities, you'll feel refreshed and relaxed back at Big Blue Mist!

Please note - the cabin is in the mountains. The road leading to the cabin is very narrow and steep and is not for everyone! There is a very sharp turn into the driveway which fits 3 cars at most. We do not offer refunds for inclement weather, so please be prepared (4 wheel drive and extra groceries are recommended in icy or snowy conditions).

If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us. Thank-you for considering Big Blue Mist!

Spring Break
Great house and location, great views, super! Be aware that the drive up to the house is very steep and pulling into the driveway needs some skills/car with clearance!

Christmas Break Getaway
We have stayed in the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg areas several times in the past. The Big Blue Mist is in a very central location and was the perfect fit for our group of 7. Very nice and clean with fantastic views. We loved the fireplace and utilized the grill for a steak night. We also appreciated the easy check in with no stops in some far away office. We highly recommend this place.

Perfect Mountain Cabin
Took a long needed family trip to Pigeon Forge and wanted to stay in a cabin on a mountain. Big Blue Mist was perfect for our family. The views are awesome. We were up early to see the sunrise over the mountains. This cabin had everything we could possibly need and want for our stay. We will be back and will definitely stay here again next visit!!

We have 2 grown children and a granddaughter. Although we permanently reside in Maryland, we love traveling to the Smokies as often as we can to hike and enjoy the outdoors. The other cabin we own in the area is Big Blue Ridge.

Why they chose this property

We love Big Blue Mist mainly because of the amazing views! Even though the cabin is very private, it is also close to all of the excitement and fun activities that are provided near-by. It's a wonderful, cozy and comfortable cabin.
