Beautiful Fench Flat

This flat made us feel like we were staying in a lovely French flat with a good friend. There were so many personal touches that made it feel like home. The pictures do not do It justice. the flat is even lovelier.

Somewhat disappointing and over-priced

Although the location of the property was very central and convenient, the accommodation was a bit shabby with chips out of the walls, quite unsafe and loose electrical fittings and a very damp and musty smell. The couple who greeted us were very helpful with our luggage. One of the reasons we booked this apartment was because in the reviews it mentioned that we would be given a voucher for car parking. This did not happen although most days we were able to park in the carpark near to the accommodation using my partner's disabled sticker. However, it was sometimes very difficult to find a space. The fridge, cooker and dishwasher were quite new but the rest of the apartment could have done with a bit of a re-fit. We appreciated that the building was old and historic but even so it could have been much improved with lighter and brighter decor in our opinion.

Un beau weekend à Honfleur

Je vous conseille cet appartement pour une famille de 4 personnes max, excellente adresse en plein coeur d'Honfleur et juste à côté du marché, et en plus, une place de parking pour nous simplifier la tâche. L'aide de la propriétaire et du concierge ont été top et nous ont permis de passer un très bon moment. A refaire.

Gemütliches Apartment in zentraler Lage

Bereits beim Betreten des Apartments fühlt man sich wie zu Hause. Gemütliche Einrichtung, sehr bequeme Betten und gute Ausstattung - mehr brauchte es nicht für einen gelungenen Urlaub. WiFi inklusive. Restaurants, Bäckereien und Supermarkt waren zu Fuß erreichbar. Der Sticker für den kostenlosen Parkplatz war ausgesprochen nützlich. Dieses Apartment ist eine klare Empfehlung.

We very much enjoyed our five nights at Coralie’s apartment — it was entirely as advertised — clean and comfortable in a historic building steps away from the center of beautiful Honfleur but out of the traffic and noise — Coralie and her greeter Nader were welcoming and easy to deal with — an altogether lovely experience!

Perfect home in a perfect town

Such a comfortable, adorable home for our sojourn in Normandy! This place is exactly what we were looking for; completely charming and comfortable. The big windows in every room open to show charming cobbled streets and jumbled rooftops. Church bells chime. Our host met us and showed us where the parking place is (50 feet away in a tiny lot) and gave us the windshield sticker; they were gracious and helpful, and even called the Hertz in LeHavre for us when we were running late! The kitchen is well equipped, the decoration scheme is soothing (grays and cream, with a theme of hearts and lots of lovely touches), the bathroom is modern, and the bed was comfy! Honfleur is magical; we loved the Saturday farmers’ market and the Sunday flea market, too. The bakery two streets away provided warm baguettes. I truly cannot imagine any improvement on our experience.

An exceptionally comfortable and well appointed appartment in a perfect location

We had the pleasure of staying in Sylvie's very sympathetically decorated and exceptionally comfortable appartment which is situated less than two minutes' walk from Place Sainte-Catherine in the centre of Honfleur. She has made really good use of the space and the appartment is cosy without feeling at all cramped. There is convenient parking less than 50 metres from the flat and she kindly provided us with a voucher for the duration of our stay. Without this, parking would have been very costly, not to mention elusive! When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Sylvie's friends, Jerome and Fany who made sure that we knew where everything was and how everything worked in the flat. After that, we just enjoyed three days of mooching around Honfleur and the surrounding area. It's a place that lends itself very well to quietly exploring all the cobbled streets with their beautifully preserved houses, museums, the eclectic art and antique shops, endless restaurants and the ubiquitous local produce shops selling Calvados, cider, apple juice - basically anything apple related plus all those very healthy salt butter caramels! For me, the Honfleur highlights if you're just visiting are: The Satie Museum, Sainte-Catherine's Church plus the varied Normandy architecture in all the narrow streets that lead away from it, The view overlooking Honfleur at Équemauville just in front of La Chapelle Notre Dame de Grace. The circular 3 valley walk starting at Saint Pierre du Val (about 15km east of Honfleur Low points? Well there weren't many, except for the choking weekend bottlenecks of traffic and one restaurant where the manager behaved with unattractive and dismissive arrogance when we pointed out that he had overcharged us by some margin. Anyway, it's important not to dwell on those things because everything else was exactly as it should be for a long weekend and if you're fortunate enough to end up staying at Valentin, well that really is a sweet cherry on top of a very good cake!

Honfleur is worth a visit for an interesting short break.

The apartment was well located and in the main very pleasant, albeit not luxurious. We loved Honfleur. Excellent shops, restaurants, museums and just a lovely place to go for a short break. In particular we loved the restaurant Laurence a few meters from the apartment. The sticker for the car parking was useful as the town can be very busy.

Geschmackvoll, sauber, mit netten Details hat uns die Wohnung sehr gut gefallen. Die Küche ist so gut ausgestattet, dass man sich auch mal selber bekochen kann. Zumal es Samstag einen Markt mit vielen regionalen Produkten gibt! Sehr angenehm ist auch, dass das Schlafzimmer ein eigener Raum neben dem gemütlich eingerichteten Wohn/Essraum ist. Die Lage ist traumhaft um alles zu Fuß zu erledigen. Netter Empfang und gute Kommunikation. Die Parkplakette ist sehr nützlich.

Très joli appartement

Nous avons passé les fêtes de fin d'année dans ce très agréable appartement décoré avec goût et d'une propreté remarquable. La literie est excellente, la cuisine très bien équipée..le salon cosy et chaleureux, il ne manquait rien jusqu'aux produits de base et une bouteille de cidre en guise de bon accueil. Un merci à la jolie Florence qui nous a reçus aimablement. Situé en plein centre historique mais au calme, ce logement élégant est recommandé fortement. Pour notre part, nous y reviendrons certainement. Merci encore à Mr et Mme Valente qui savent recevoir et faire plaisir. Inoubliable... B.BRAX

Notre séjour au "Valentin" fut très agréable, on se sent chez soi très très vite, rien ne manque. Il est de plus parfaitement situé. L'accueil par Florence fut également parfait. Nous recommandons cette location et n'hésiterons pas à y retourner pour un prochain séjour à Honfleur.

Une location sans surprise.

Location parfaitement conforme à la description et aux photos. Idéalement situé au cœur de ville, dans le carré des arts, vraiment à 2 pas de tous commerces, du marché, du quai Sainte Catherine (avec tous ses restaurants...). C'est l'éden pour un couple. Cette location est très propre, la personne qui vous reçoit est très ponctuelle et très arrangeante. Nous avons eu la chance de rencontrer les propriétaires qui sont charmants et qui nous ont confié que le bruit des voitures que nous entendions la nuit ne serait que souvenir dès octobre prochain avec la pose de menuiseries à double vitrage. Seul bémol, le parking public à proximité trop souvent plein et qui nous oblige à nous éloigner de la location (en sachant qu'il existe de nombreux parkings). Nous recommandons cette location sans aucune restriction.

Einfach nur schön!

Wir waren Anfang Juni für fünf Nächte in diesem wirklich sehr schönen Appartement. Der Kontakt vorab, aber auch vor Ort war unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Wohnung ist sehr liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es gab alles was man benötigt und das Bett war auch sehr bequem. Leider hatten wir mit dem Wetter kein Glück und es war ungewöhnlich kalt und regnerisch, aber trotzdem war Honfleur mit seiner urigen Altstadt einfach wunderschön. Durch die Lage der Wohnung war man ein Teil davon und konnte innerhalb von wenigen Minuten den Markt oder die kleinen tollen Läden erreichen. Ein Lidl war mit dem auto auch in kürzester Zeit zu erreichen. Durch den Parkausweis, der einem bei der anreise zur Verfügung gestellt wurde, konnte man auch problemlos bei dem öffentlichen Parkplatz um die Ecke parken. Kinderbett und Sitz hatten wir mitgebracht (kann man sicherlich aber auch auf Anfrage etwas vor ort erhalten). Auch am Abreisetag lief alles problemlos und wir konnten die Abreisezeit frei wählen. Wir können die Wohnung zu hundert Prozent weiterempfehlen. Perfekt für einen längeren Aufenthalt wäre eine Waschmaschine (vielleicht stand die separat. Wir hatten allerdings nicht gefragt). Vielen Dank und beim nächsten mal gibt es besseres Wetter:-) Grüße aus Hamburg

Loved the location of this apartment, just a short stroll to all the sights and huge choice of restaurants. Decor very pleasant too. A big plus was the parking sticker which allowed us to park in almost all the nearby car parks - great.
