About this property
ON THE BEACH. PET-FRIENDLY. LINENS INCLUDED.
We looked high and low for the "perfect" beach property for years. We've spent many Sunday afternoons taking a stroll on the beach (even in winter!). We wanted a location that was quiet, secluded, and where we could enjoy nature and time with our family. Beachwalk fits the bill perfectly. It is quiet, secluded, yet close to major attractions (shopping, restaurants, theaters, golf, etc.).
Wake up to dolphins and dune grass, not traffic and tourists. This quiet, pet-welcoming escape includes full linens, fire pit, smart TV, and beach gear – just step off the deck and onto the sand. Relish the beautiful sunrises over the Delaware Bay, and in the evenings, the gorgeous sunsets over the wildlife refuge behind you.
Relax on the beach watching the dolphins swim by, read that book you have been putting off, take a walk along the sandy shore, swim in the bay, comb for seashells and sea glass, or enjoy a bonfire on the beach with family and friends.
Enjoy amenities such as reliable high speed internet, cable TV, cotton sheets and towels, a kitchen stocked with cooking essentials, and an open floor plan, with lots of windows, to enjoy the view.
Your four-legged friend will appreciate the wraparound deck with a small gated run below that includes a convenient potty-stop, and the fact they are allowed on the beach (with a leash) all year-round.
For the days you want more social interaction, it is only a fifteen to twenty minute drive to the following places: touring the Dogfish Head Brewery, shopping at the outlets in Rehoboth, taking in a movie at the Movies of Midway, walking the historic district of Lewes, Delaware’s first settlement, or strolling the boardwalk at Rehoboth (the younger ones will definitely want to tour Funland).
We believe you will enjoy the relaxing atmosphere as much as we do. Our home has two queen beds, a bunk bed, and a pull out couch for a total of six guests. The house is built directly on the beach with trees on both sides giving the sense of real personal space. During the last beach replenishment, a double fenced sand dune was placed in front of all properties with access points added every few hundred feet. Our house sits right at one of those entrance points.
The two garage spaces, under the house, are accessible from the inside in case of inclement weather. It is also where the grills are kept. Additional parking is available in the driveway.
We are glad to assist in making your stay a 5-star visit. Our information book in the kitchen is filled with lots of helpful tips and local advice.
We learned a long time ago that family & friend vacations were worth the investment; a small price to pay for wonderful memories and great personal connections. We count it a privilege to have you stay in our home, BEACHWALK PLACE.

We are available by text or cell anytime. We leave you alone to enjoy your privacy, but are available when you need us.
We are located at the south (less populated and, therefore, quieter) end of Broadkill Beach. Our home is right ON THE BEACH, so you can see and hear the waves and beach wildlife. Our section of Broadkill is quiet and peaceful. We are a short drive from the boardwalk and activity in Rehoboth Beach or the quaint shops in Lewes.
We are Pet Friendly. The cost for pets is $150 per stay (for up to 2 pets).

About the host
Hosted by Natalie Venable

We’re Natalie and Brett Venable, proud parents of four sons. Our eldest son has autism, and we purchased this home with the intention of renting it out to support his long-term care. We enjoy investing time in our family, which includes taking long walks on the beach. :-)
Why they chose this property
We looked high and low for the "perfect" beach property for years. Countless Sunday afternoons were spent strolling along the shore—even during winter! Our vision was a tranquil, secluded home where we could connect with nature and create cherished family memories. This property checked all the boxes: quiet, secluded, and conveniently close to major attractions like shopping, restaurants, theaters, and golf. 🏖️🌿🏠
What makes this property unique
When we explored purchasing our home, we toured several other properties. What truly captivated us about this particular house was its unbeatable location—it sits right on the beach. But what makes it truly special is its seclusion: you can gaze out at the beach from the house, yet the house remains hidden from view when you’re down by the water. Privacy is a key feature; it’s more secluded than most other beachfront properties. And for dog owners, it’s an absolute gem. Broadkill Beach is already known for its pet-friendly atmosphere, but this home takes it up a notch. Equipped with multiple gates, it allows your furry friend to roam freely around the property as you see fit. 🏖️🐾🏠
