Charming bay front house on private beach. Bright and clean two story house with an open floor plan and plenty of indoor/outdoor space to relax. Swim, fish, sail, kayak, and sunbath on your own sandy beach. Enjoy the 180 degree view of passing ships and dolphins from the fully enclosed sun room.

Located in the Prime Hook Wildlife Refuge, this quiet community is away from the hustle and bustle of crowds and traffic. Enjoy the wildlife, star filled night sky, and wide open beach.

Only 2 1/2 hours from Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington DC, and 20 - 30 minutes to the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk, Cape Henlopen State Park, ocean beaches, historic Lewes, Outlet shopping, restaurants, and amusements.

Sleeps 6 (or more with owner approval and additional fee) people on three full beds and two futons.

One Pet allowed with additional cleaning fee. Additional pets may be allowed with owner approval and additional fee.

Kitchen needs cooking utensils other than plastic. fence around the property need to be replaced to accommodate large dog such as my German Shepherd . If you make that happen I will return .

Book Club get Away

Our 5 members truly enjoyed the privacy of the beach and the large picture windows to gaze on the beach when it was too hot to be in the sun. The lower level was perfect for one of our members and for coming in and out from the beach. We appreciated two showers and toilets. The horseshoe crabs were a bit much at first, but we just got accustomed to them. We had a very relaxing, enjoyable week.

Beach vacation

The house is in a perfect location for a beach vacation. It’s comfortable and has all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. Mike and Laura are great hosts and very responsive. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Perfect family getaway

The house is beautifully set right on the bay. It’s a great area for bike riding or going on walks. The neighbors are very friendly as well. The house is a great distance from a grocery store and popular beaches. Loved our stay here.

Lovely week away

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our week here. The owners were very communicative and helpful, and the view can’t be beat. (We even ended our week with a rainbow right out back). The kids adored the “breakfast bench.”

Private and Relaxing!

This was a great property! Just a few steps to the beach, which was very private and quiet. Kids spent many hours playing in the sand and the waves! Hosts were extremely responsive and answered all questions in a timely manner. House was clean and well stocked. Highlight of our trip was multiple dolphin sightings from the house!

Family Vacation

The house was very clean and nicely appointed. Bathrooms were interesting. Upstairs was very small but also very cute. Downstairs didn't afford any privacy given the 3 stalls. We probably won't do this area again given the huge number of horse crabs!

Family Vacation with an Amazing View

Great stay at a great location that is right on the beach and not too far from Lewes. Clean and spacious hose for the square feet. Easy communication with the owner. You will see other comments that might give a con of the flies on the beach but us knowing the area we came prepared with bug spray. Don’t let these comment make you miss out on this gem.

Fall vacations are the best!

We loved this classic beach house. Sparkling clean, comfy furniture and beds, From coffee in the morning to running the dishwasher in evening, everything worked perfectly. The sun porch is delightful for watching waves and ships and shore birds. Even when the remnants of Hurricane Ian whipped up the ocean a bit. Our dogs were in heaven on the beach and in the surf. Private beach

My wife and I and our three girls stayed here for a week and it was great! Everything was clean, the house was cool when we arrived and the air worked great. So fun being right on the beach. We brought our kayaks and paddle boards and used them almost everyday. The girls had a blast looking for hermit crabs during low tide. We spent hours and hours and hours on the beach, and would do it again in a heartbeat. Most days, on the beach you’d have to walk over 100 yards to get to the next person. A lot of the time it seemed you had the beach all to yourself.

New memories ♥️

We all had a wonderful time. I grew up vacationing in this area and it holds so many memories for me growing up with my friends. Many new memories are now being made with my children and grandchildren. This beach house was perfect. It had a wonderful view & was clean and comfortable. It had everything we could ever need. I loved sitting and having coffee in the morning while watching the sunrise over the bay. we had fun picking crabs at the table while enjoying the view. A short 15 to 20 minute drive takes you to restaurants shopping and a boardwalk. We loved it, and will want to come back again. Also being able to bring our dogs was wonderful!

Beach Bliss

4 night stay at the beach at Primehook Beach on the Delaware Bay. Cool & windy weather initially, but beautiful sunset 3/25 & beautiful sunny day on 3/26/2023. The views from the sunroom & proximity to the beach were perfect. The home had every thing you could think of… it was just like being at home complete with games, cards, even arts & crafts. Cable TV & being able to stream channels, & have Wi-Fi were also great. The basement was finished & even though we were a couple & a dog, there is plenty of places to sit. My only suggestion would be mattress topper for more comfortable sleeping & more comfortable furniture in the living room, but overall GREAT stay & great, accurate communication from the owners

Can’t beat the view

Nice place and a nice visit. The house has amazing views and in in neighborhood right on bay. It is a distance away from attractions such as rehoboth and lewes. Everything seemed to take a long time to get to and with three teenagers probably better to be closer to the action. If you want seclusion on the beach and stay at the house this is a good option. Some things that need improvement are not much in terms of a kitchen. Badly needs a new oven/ cooktop and kitchen gear. There was literally no soap or shampoo for the showers which was said to be there. The bathroom in house is extremely small and a tight fit for 5 people four of which are male. Not much in terms of chairs for the beach and no umbrellas if you want that. Also not much for cooking outdoors. Really could use a convenient gas grill. Nice to be able to bring the dogs and the fenced in yard very convenient for them. All and all we had a good time but could use improvements.

This is our second visit to the cottage this year and the place continues to exceed our expectations. Mike and Laura are accommodating hosts and very responsive to queries. The picture windows to the bay are the highlight of the house, offering unrestricted views to beautiful sunrises. A well-appointed house, there is room to relax, slow down and have a wonderful bonfire on the beach. Thanks for being great hosts!

Wonderful property very well maintained and appointed. We had a couple of stormy days and could still relax watching the ocean from the enclosed back porch.Very comfortable beds, nice quiet neighborhood, well equipped kitchen. Such a treat to just walk out the door to the beach!

Beach Relaxation

Very peaceful ride back to beach home. Check in was smooth and we wasted no time going to the beach which was easily accessible with a nice little path. The water, the sunrise, and quiet atmosphere was so relaxing. Folks in the community were so friendly.

Lovely beach getaway for families and dogs

This house is prettier than the photos, with breathtaking views of the Delaware Bay. The beach is literally outside your back door. Super clean, lots of space, modern appliances, well stocked kitchen, very well maintained property. It’s a quiet neighborhood with super nice neighbors. We loved walking on the beach with our dog. The water is very shallow. It’s right next to a nature preserve. Great restaurants are a short drive away. We especially liked Hacienda in Milford and Po Boys Cajun in Milton. Our son fished every day. Our daughter went for runs on the beach. It was fun to see a thriving population of piping plovers. Assateague Island is an easy day trip. We loved seeing the wild horses. The owners were super responsive and helpful. We were able to rent a tandem kayak and a beach wheelchair. You’re not far from the Rehoboth boardwalk. There are great independent shops nearby, including Frantic Frets, where our musician daughter bought an amazing used banjo. Bring beach towels and a hairdryer. Everything else was provided. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

We loved everything about it! The house/property was amazing and everything provided (from fully functional kitchen, to beach toys to linens!). This is our 2nd time staying in this community and all the residents are always welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed rescuing Horseshoe Crabs every morning. The only things was we thought one room had a queen bed. Maybe some updates to descriptions and photos to to VRBO page :-) Thank you so much for sharing your home with us, and any feedback for us is welcome!
