We highly recommend a stay at Sooke Mountain House
The house and property were an awesome, unique place to have a 4 day celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary! With the natural setting it felt like camping in a spacious, very private campground with amazing trees and gorgeous views, while at the same time having the luxury of a beautiful, comfortable, well laid out and artistically decorated home. The beds and mattresses were comfortable and the long deck table were a great place for gathering and enjoying delicious meals. The wood burning hot tub was an interesting feature and was a big hit. We loved staying at the home and also enjoyed outings to Matheson lake, French Beach, the nearby Galloping Goose trail for walking and cycling and the River Pot Holes. Our host Eoghan was very considerate and answered questions readily. Thanks so much for the delightful welcoming basket and bouquet of fresh flowers and for a wonderful stay!!

Great house for family gathering.
We really enjoyed our 3 night stay, 6 adults, 3 children (2, 3 & 5)plus 1 dog. We were very impressed with the house. It was welcoming, clean, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and lots of games, puzzles and books, the beautiful landscape and an amazing view. The grandchildren loved the playhouse and the hot tub was a big hit. The welcome basket and flowers was lovely touch. Eoghan and Maitreyi made us feel welcome and were available for any questions or concerns. Have already told some friends about it. I hope to stay again.

Why they chose this property

We take great pleasure in sharing our amazing home with visitors, friends, and family, and even though we live here, it still feels like renting a piece of paradise. We revel in the tranquility and peace with nature while enjoying the incredible view. Our neighborhood offers us ample opportunities to explore and enjoy the outdoors, and we love taking our two girls and our dog, Blue, to Whiffen Spit, Ella Beach, and all the places in between and beyond.

We take great delight in meeting new people and immersing ourselves in the relaxed Sooke community atmosphere. Our work allows us to spend a lot of time in Sooke, as Eoghan works from home and Maitreyi travels as a flight attendant. We share a passion for travel, hiking, and living life to the fullest. Our preferred way to travel is by setting up a base where we can mingle with the locals and explore the area, and vacation rentals are perfect for this purpose. Our stays in incredible places have led us to meet amazing people and form cherished memories.

What makes this property unique

Sooke Mountain House basks in sunshine, surrounded by trees on the slopes of Mount Brule in beautiful Sooke, British Columbia. The house has an incredible 180 degree view stretching from forest, to basin and across the ocean to mountain glaciers in the United States. An incredible place to unwind, recharge and reconnect with friends (including your furry companions).
