Don’t stay anywhere else!
We loved the house, the pool, the neighborhood, and the entire experience of Santorini. If you want to have a vacation away from the chaos of tourists and cruise ships, stay at this little gem of a house. It was heaven, and so was the neighborhood. Love, love, love! Don’t get sucked in by the flash of the tourist spots. You can still see those places and then escape back to the winery. I give this property my highest recommendation.
Lovely villa - home from home
Gorgeous villa, everything that you could possibly need. Great communication from the owner. Mark the manager was great, nothing too much trouble. Would definitely recommend
Great relaxing holiday
The property was pretty much as described, however, one of our party was somewhat immobile and found the steps and terrain most difficult. Perhaps a note to this effect would be useful. Otherwise hard to fault.
We stayed for a week at the villa recently and everything about it was fabulous. I love the Greek quirkiness with their construction very charming. The pool and spacious accommodation was loved by all. Mark, the villa rep was brilliant, came regularly to clean the pool and provided great help and assistance with car hire, advice and help with a medical situation we had, many thanks.
Thoroughly recommend the villa, you won’t regret choosing it.
Great stay on Santorini
We had a great time while staying at the Winery Estate in the pretty little village of Megalachori on Santorini. It is a great location to enjoy all that the island has to offer. Mark was a great help arranging transportation, getting a catamaran booked and was generally very helpful. We explored Oia and Fira, enjoyed a wonderful sunset catamaran trip, took a great cooking class in the village at Petra Kouzina and went to the southern tip to explore the archeological site of Akrotiri. We also had some delicious meals at the restaurants in the village. We had plenty of room at the villa and relaxed often in the outdoor pool area. Transportation to and from the airport was very helpful. There are several stairs to get to the villa and to the upper deck area, so be aware if you have mobility issues. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Santorini.
From start to finish we can’t fault the contact with Sarah beforehand and the whole experience at the villa in general.
Mark was friendly and full of advice and information to ensure that our stay here was as good as could be. Leslie was also lovely and polite.
We were completely blown away by the villa when we arrived, the pictures really do not do it justice. The location was fantastic for us being central to all key locations - but you must get a car!
A few recommendations from our experiences:
- Oia; Fanari restaurant has amazing food and a great view for sunset
- Fira; Classico is a lovely restaurant and a great view and also PK cocktails for amazing drinks
- Megalochori; do not be afraid to try out the local restaurants. The food is incredible in the villa (Avlogyros & Marmita)
- Waves Chill out bar at Perissa Beach is a lovely place to relax
- Take the boat trip to the volcano island, hot springs, Thirassia village too (the sea is very cold in April)
- Ancient Thira ruins is absolutely beautiful and a great walk and amazing views over the whole of Santorini
- Santos Winery Vineyard is amazing - we had the 10 flight wine for €35 each
YOU MUST GO TO THE FAMILY BAKERY. It is amazing, Pavlos is awesome and the chocolate, Gelato and pastries are great.
We have had a lovely stay and would highly recommend the Winery estate to families or groups of friends. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as us.
