About this property

The Dorm Room

Inspired by our favorite wizarding school across the pond, full of treasures in honor of magical friends, this tiny home is full of charm and magic to explore during your stay. This is a wizarding paradise, tucked away from the prying eyes of Muggles. It is an inviting and truly wonderful place filled with magical relics, games to play, books to read, movies to enjoy, and things to explore and experience.
We love this tiny magical oasis, and hope you will too!

The space

The space is a truly magical place for muggles and wizards alike. Full of treasures in honor of magical friends and the wizarding world!
It consists of one long unit, composed of two spaces. The front half of the unit houses the living room and kitchen area with a foldout queen size sofa bed.
The back half has two twin beds in a dorm room style setting, as well as a bathroom.
It is adjacent, but not connected, to a large house and you will occasionally hear the noises of muggles and/or magical creatures around you.

Guest access

Parking is at the side of the big house.
Watch for the flickering porch light and park in front of the cauldrons.

Interaction with guests

If I'm in town, I would love to meet you in person - and chat with you about the property if you have time and would like to meet briefly - just let me know!

Other things to note

This is an experience property -designed for a restful stay for fans of fantasy and magic.
It does not have a stove - just a microwave, coffee maker (Kuerig) and a toaster.
Also, the bathroom has a vintage clawfoot tub, but no shower.

    This is my 2nd stay. I was surprised by friends previously & immediately booked another trip for my niece & granddaughter. We weren’t disappointed. Kristi made the whole process a breeze. The detail & thought put into the decor is unreal. The kids are ready to go back. I really can’t say enough about the place. Like my title says, it AMAZING.

    Just incredible

    The attention to detail is incredible. Only one of our 4 had ever watched or read Harry Potter, yet we all felt like we must be living it in real life. So as not to spoil the experience, we would just absolutely recommend this rental. It was a destination in itself (we actually altered trip plans and made a detour to stay here)...completely worth it. One thing to note is that there are beds for at least 5, from what we found. And there is a shower, not a tub, which was a huge positive. We could have easily spent 2 nights here and explored the town (so cute). Miss Kristi was fantastic. Our HP fan was asking to come back before we left, and the rest of us would be happy to. It was that good!!

    The VRBO listing for this property doesn’t currently match what this property actually is. I think it has been redone and is WAY better than advertised. We went for a one night stay for my son’s birthday and both my kids loved it. The host even gathered a little gift basket for my kids as an extra Happy Birthday!! Plenty of bed space with three bedrooms (one king bed and three singles). Stand up tiled shower instead of the tub. All of the Harry Potter decorations make this stay absolutely wonderful. They have put a lot of time and effort to give you the full experience walking in. We would go again! Some things to note-property is connected to other properties, there are age limits, small fridge but no true kitchen space. None of these are deal breakers to us but is nice to know. This host also owns several other “fantasy” properties near by that we want to try out!! Try it, you will not be disappointed.

    This was a wonderful experience. The Harry Potter themed house was phenomenal. The decor is impeccable. From the moment we arrived, the magical feel was there. Kristi made everything so personal from knowing what house you are in and then having certain items match your house. The gift bag she made for our son was incredible. He loved everything in it. The Butterbeer was so good! We were there on the 4th of July and the owners invited us out to watch fireworks with them. If we needed anything, they were literally there in less than two minutes. We will definitely be back!

    My 13 year old daughter loves Harry Potter. We stayed in the Harry Potter themed room and oh my goodness…it was FABULOUS! So much to see and explore. The bathroom was a fave of my daughters and the location was perfect! Kristi, the owner, is the absolute sweetest lady and we became instant friends. We are definitely planning a trip back as soon as possible!

    This was a perfect adventure to celebrate my mom’s birthday! She was like a child lost in the magic of every detail that Kristi put into making this stay like stepping into the world of Harry Potter! We got to meet her, by the way, and she was nice and a wonderful host. Awaiting my mom, was a surprise cake that was absolutely delicious, moist and looked like Hagrid had made it for Harry!     Dreams Do Come True!

    Our stay at Kristi's property was literally a dream come true for this 45 year old Potterhead and her 11 year old son! Have you ever wanted to experience "spending a night at Hogwarts"? Then you must book a stay at this magical property. The attention to detail is mind-blowing...my son kept saying "I want to live here!" We simply enjoyed a night at Hogwarts...no other way to describe it. I believe that we started a new family tradition that I can't wait to carry on with my younger three children as they discover Harry Potter too!

    Out of this world experience for any fan!

    We rented this for a mini break for 3 Hogwarts-loving adults and were blown away by the property. The host went above and beyond—when we had an unexpected issue with a bed, she immediately came by to fix things so we could all have a great nights sleep. Can’t wait to return!

    This place is truly amazing. Every inch is crawling with character and charm. The effort put into this place blows my mind. Perfect for getting cozy on the couch surrounded by a wonderful aesthetic and watching Harry Potter. The dark vibe of the bath is my daughters favorite. You will not be disappointed in this rental.

    I don't think the experience could have gone any better. We visited Chattanooga. It's only a 20 minute drive to Chat, the neighborhood feels safe and the host is unbelievably caring! The property and magically decorated interior was so well put together. Fantastic job and fantastic stay! We will be back for sure.
