We extended our stay for 6 weeks in Buenos Aires after a cruise. We loved this neighborhood. We had some issues with the unit but the owner was very responsive. We ultimately decided to leave early.
Very cozy apartment. Really can’t think of anything bad about it. Obviously, not for people who expect a 5-star accommodation at a 3-star price, but it has everything that one would need for either a short or a longer stay.
Property Manager was very helpful. The apartment needed a good vacuuming. The "toothbrush' cup in the bathroom had not been cleaned in a while. Overall location and stay was okay. Marcela was very accomodating with restaurants in the area and trip to Airport tips.
Nice comfortable apartment well located in Palermo at a 1940s building. It has 2 good size bedrooms , blackout blinds and good quality linen are provided. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping areas. Host extremely attentive to any request what was certainly most appreciated . We certainly enjoyed out stay at the apartment .
However opposite to this, we had plenty of issues with Vrbo itself. We were not able to make payment of property until the last minute of our international trip. Customer service from Vrbo unresponsive and non existent. It took almost a week for Vrbo, after several calls, chats, several unresolved promises of escalating issue etc , placed by guest and host as well, to clear a glitch in their system. Overall, lousy Vrbo customer service .

Thank you for your patience with VRBO customer support. I concur with the guest that due to an internal VRBO problem, the guest had partially paid the reservation but later the account was erased. One day prior, all was set back in order. It was an unnecessary stressful way to begin an international trip. Nevertheless, the guest was calm and comunicative and a pleasure to attend. Thank you for choosing us
The apartment has a great layout and has all you need for a great stay in Buenos Aires. Communication with Ignacio and his son before arrival and while we were at the apartment was very easy. We were greeted upon our arrival at the apartment and were given an overview of the apartment and neighborhood. The 4 of us had a wonderful weekend in Buenos Aires and really enjoyed our time in this apartment. I would definitely stay here again on a future visit to Buenos Aires!

About the host
Hosted by Ignacio Viel
Like a traveling nomad, I've lived in Greece, Sweden, Jamaica, USA, and for now Argentina. I speak fluent English and Spanish, French enough as to not starve to death, and Swedish bad enough as to be banned from their country. At the moment I am living and taking care of our farm not far from Buenos Aires and I've asked Chuny, a dedicated co-host, to help me with the day to day guest relationship.
Why they chose this property
This property is in a very safe neighborhood, surrounded by shops, close to a beautiful and active park, various important museums, two shopping centers and very nice places to eat.
What makes this property unique
I fell in love with my home, a 1940's apartment with wooden floors made anew with water plumming and heating. I played with a few modern touches, such as paint patterns, room distributions and electrical appliances. Continuously upgrading here and there based on guest recommendations (faster WiFi, double insulated windows in bedroom and bathroom, etc.).
