Ready for a day trip exploring nearby towns? Follow the Lake Huron shoreline to Port Hope, Grindstone City, Caseville, and Port Austin, or book a fishing charter and experience the beauty of Lake Huron from the water. Bad Ax (located approx. 19 miles away) offers a larger array of shopping and dining options. Your Stay.
Guests have private use of the home and outdoor grounds, including the sandy waterfront area and fire ring. Settle in, slow down, and enjoy the best of Michigan’s Thumb—fresh lake air, incredible sunrises, freighters on the horizon, and laid-back lake-town living.
Important Waterfront Notice The property sits directly on Lake Huron and includes a sandy shoreline area; however, due to current lake levels and natural shoreline vegetation, access to the water directly from the property is currently restricted for swimming, wading, and launching watercraft. Shoreline conditions are natural and may change throughout the season.
Guests can still enjoy the secluded sandy beach area, fire pit, beautiful lake views, wildlife, and spectacular Lake Huron sunrises!

Cabin was very clean, quiet and close to the public beach and town. View of the sunrise was a plus. There is a walking path to the lake but unfortunately no access to the water
Stayed here for 2 nights and wish we had more time to stay longer. This was a great place to go to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and slow it down some. It's a lovely, clean little cottage that offers some spectacular sunrises on the lake. We did try to communicate with the host (mostly to say hi and see about check out procedures since this was our first VRBO experience), but did not hear back until after we checked out due to some understandable personal circumstances. Overall it was a great stay and experience! Thanks for hosting Joe!
The beach area is pretty much unusable. No access to the lake due to high weeds. Pictures were misleading as no weed growth was shown. We wanted a good place for overnight comfort which we did get. So our stay was still okay as we were not too interested in the beach or lake. We had thought we would have at least a good view of the lake. Nearly invisible from the back yard.
This cottage was just what we were looking for. The kitchen was stocked with a few cooking pans, dishes, silverware, glasses, and a few spices. The combo washer dryer was nice. All in all a nice stay.
We had a great weekend stay for my husbands 50 mile race. The house was just as pictured and very nice. The owner answered my call when I reached out about early check in and check out was a breeze.
It was a very nice, quiet, cozy little place but the homeowner lacked in communication. We asked him a few questions and he did not get back to us at all

So sorry about that my wife had a stroke, its been hectic, just wondering how did you try to contact me? You must of been frustrated and i should have made arrangements.
The host was very welcoming. He followed up to make sure we got in ok. This was our 2nd visit as we totally enjoyed the scenery and the peacefulness of our location.
We had an amazing stay. It was clean, cute and perfect for the two of us. It was supplied with everything we needed. Comfortable and cozy. We loved the location and the views of Lake Huron were incredible. I highly recommend this place when you are in the area.
