About this property
Lg lakefront family home with a covered dock and jet-ski port! Nicely remodeled!
A personal place to relax, play hard, and make great family memories. Great views on the larger part of Tims Ford Lake with multiple decks, patios, and quiet places. Only steps down to the waterside Gazebo, boat dock, and elevated veranda with a gas grill. And for the ambitious, a Wood-Fired Brick oven; is great to have pizza night with the kids and family. For Hygienic concerns: I-WAVE technology in both A/C units reduces viral particles, spores, and dust 24/7. 2 high output ozone machines run between guests for added sterility and safety From the moment you pull into the circular drive, you may be tempted to sit and relax or explore what's next. The main floor has a spacious, fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare a gourmet meal on the double griddle and four-burner stove; cleaning is made easier with two sinks and two dishwashers. Or heat snacks in one of three microwave ovens before a quick and easy fun outing to one of the three marina restaurants. The living room with great lake views has plenty of comfortable lounging for hanging out before and after a busy day. The basement bedroom is my personal favorite with unique industrial decor, with a queen bed, and a floating queen bunk above, and opens to a semi-private patio The basement also has a ping pong table with seating and a double hoop Basketball game. The second-floor loft has lake views, a day bed and a pull out trundle bed, and a separate entrance to the second-floor bath. The second-floor bedroom has a queen bed with a private entrance to the bathroom. The playful fish design railing leads to a third-floor loft with open wood beam ceilings with a hybrid comfortable queen mattress Murphy bed with a separate bathroom. Extra energy?; take a spin on the elliptical exerciser while over-viewing the lake and follow up with a stint in the steam shower. The master bedroom has a wrap-around deck and great views of the lake. Also has a king-size bed, a double shower/steam room, a free-standing tub, and a double vanity. The town of historic Lynchburg is only 14 miles away with southern-style shops and restaurants, and Jack Daniels Distillery available for tours. For a unique dining experience, Miss Bobo's Boarding House & Restaurant has 2 seatings/day, 11AM & ! PM (requires reservations closed Sundays at 931-759-7394) Other Restaurants include Southern Perks, Barrel House BBQ, and Whisky Runners. Hard Dock Cafe' at the Tims Ford Marina offers food and snacks and live entertainment on Saturday evenings during the summer months. Blue Gill Cafe' at Holiday Marina is a full-service restaurant (including all-you-can-eat Cajun boil Wednesday 5-8 pm) that also offers live music on Saturdays. Drafts and Water Crafts at Twin Creeks Marina is the newest bar and grill on the lake with a variety of food and an extensive beverage selection. Pontoon and boat rentals available at nearby marinas: Tims Ford Power Sports (931) 968-0114, Tims Ford Marina 931-967-9887, Holiday Marina 931-455-3151, Twin Creeks Marina 931-229-4095 (pontoons only). Jet ski rental is available from Canoe the Caney at 800-579-7893 Safety is of great concern; hence, the entire house has a sprinkler system, smoke detectors, and available fire extinguishers. There are also 10 various-sized life preservers available. It is an excellent place for small and older children, but supervised, being that it is on the lake, and there are areas of retaining walls and multiple balconies, and spiral stairs. Enjoy your stay as a guest in our home and be respectful as such.

The location and property are both outstanding. Everything was very clean and well kept -- it was even better than we expected.
We would definitely stay here again.
This is a lovely property with a lot to do for all ages. We had a wonderful time. Some of the outdoor space could use a little TLC, but otherwise very nice and comfortable.
The place had so many great little places for everybody to sleep and have privacy. The outside was a little lacking but mainly because it had several platforms- instead of one primary location. The porch off the kitchen doesn't lead down to the water and had a table and chairs on that level. To get to the water you had to go down the stairs to the basement and through one of the "bedrooms" at that point it was steps down to ground to cross over to the driveway to walk down to the water. This was a very steep incline for any older members of the group. I think with a little tux and a lot of thought about the outside- this would be an awesome place to stay. The outside not being really hang-out-able really saved us because we would definitely have been too loud for the neighborhood!!!! The neighborhood was great- I walked every morning and it was safe and peaceful. Daniel was great and stayed in contact with me the whole time. If your primary reason for renting is hanging out together in a large, nice place- this is a 10/10.

Glad y'all had a great time; It's a fun place for all ages. For security reasons, we do not have stair access off the balcony.
We usually use the Garage door as a passage, and not through the bedroom; from there, you can go down the drive, which can be steep for older family members. Or down the garden path, which I call the "Path of Tranquility." Less incline, more steps; however, you still have to cross the incline driveway to the outdoor kitchen. Or you can stay on the garden path all the way down to the gazebo/water.
Wonderful stay! Details about the property provided by owner were excellent. The home, dock and location worked well for a memorable vacation. We would definitely return!
We can up to celebrate a 50th bday at the Jack Daniels distillery. We had an amazing time the house was perfect and really enjoyed the dock we could jump off to swim. Daniel was a perfect host.

Thanks you your great care of the home. I hope you consider me again in the future.
We had a wonderful stay at the Vrbo. We loved how unique each room was with a different theme. The house was so big and so fun with all the decks and floors. The lake was gorgeous and serene. This house was perfect for our weekend getaway!

The themes do add another element to the atmosphere.
The property has some really nice touches (double dishwasher, double microwave, lots of seating space, steam shower, etc.) that make it a really great stay for a large group of people.

About the host
Hosted by Daniel Skinner
Grew up in my native city of New Orleans. Miss the food and accent. Hard worker. Grateful to have a wonderful family of 5 girls and 1 boy. (Would have had more but ran out of time and prohibitively expensive.) Spent an intense amount of time and energy last 3 1/2 years (finished June 2019) with additions, remodeling, and revamping the lake house after a catastrophic water pipe break on the top floor but I feel the results are awesome and I think you will like and enjoy it if you stay.
Why they chose this property
Often went to Grand-Parents' lake house in New Orleans area while growing up. The smell and sound of the water under the house was memorable. Life-long amazing memories of swimming, boating, fishing, catching lake crabs, exploring, playing games, watching the adults playing cards (often poker), and crab boils with cousins aunts uncles and family were a major drive to acquire a lake home. It's a great location for family gatherings. A nice clean lake, fairly close to my Huntsville residence starting with an empty lot on a convenient part of the lake, and lots of ideas were the many of the reasons behind acquiring this spot.
What makes this property unique
It's a great place for friends, family, and extended family to visit, have fun, relaxation, and excitement all in one place. Actually many places; you could spend the morning hanging out on the gazebo over the water or boating, and the afternoon/evening cooking on the boathouse veranda or swimming, and the night sitting on another patio, or niche, or late grilling on the house back porch. Or just visiting, in the comfortable living room, kitchen dining area. There are many places to have different types of gatherings or just hang out.
