I stayed here with my 2 friends and it accommodated perfectly for us. Just the right amount of space and the prices were perfect for us. Great area in town and just close enough for coffee in the morning!
Owner was very accomodating & friendly. Cute little downstairs unit under main house. Very spacious with full kitchen. Very quiet & close to idaho falls walkway. Would definitely stay again.

We chose this rental because it was an affordable option, and while we did not expect luxury accommodations, it fell well below our expectations. The neighborhood felt somewhat rundown, although we did not experience any problems with safety or damage to our vehicle. The exterior of the property appeared poorly maintained and gave a disappointing first impression.Inside, the apartment showed significant wear and tear. There were several maintenance issues, including damaged fixtures and appliances, and the oven appeared to need a thorough cleaning. While the apartment appeared to have been surface-cleaned, the overall condition of the property made it feel less clean and well-maintained than other rentals we have stayed in.Our biggest concern was a strong and unpleasant odor that frequently came from a door in the kitchen leading to another area of the basement. The smell was especially noticeable in the evenings and detracted significantly from our stay.To be fair, the listing did not advertise air conditioning or laundry facilities, so we were aware those amenities would not be available. Fans were provided, which helped make the space more comfortable. One positive aspect of our stay was that the owner was responsive and easy to communicate with. When we contacted her regarding a Wi-Fi issue, she replied promptly.Based on our experience, we would not choose to stay here again.

This guest made us aware of a leak that was causing the odor. We appreciated that so we could fix it. It is fine now and I'm sorry that Vicki had to deal with that.
The heat wave in Idaho now is very unusual. We are prepared for normal summer weather. So Vicki had to deal with that too.
Regarding the other things, please read the other reviews. Most people find this Hideaway pleasant and cozy. The couple upstairs are friendly and helpful. The yard is full of interesting things like fossils and crystals if you take some time to look.
I'm really sorry that those two issues happened while Vicki was here.
Baseroom apartment in older house in established neighborhood. Very quiet night. Apartment appeared lovingly appointed. Bed and all linens comfortable. We would stay there again. Thank you to the hosts

The host was super nice and easy to work with. The property is minimally kept up on the outside. Inside is "rustic". It is the basemen of an old house and it felt like it. While it was old, it was clean. The beds were basic and squeaky. It is not a fancy place by any means, but the value exceeded the cost.

Great location, average apartment
This place is close to everything, so you can’t beat the location. It is a house split into two apartments, and we had a terrible first impression when we pulled up. The grass was over grown and there were weeds and stuff cluttering the yard. But when we went in, it felt cozy, much better than outside.
My biggest complaint, other than the total lack of curb appeal, was the bedroom. It didn’t have an actual curtain over the window, but blinds which wouldn’t close all the way. Since it is a basement apartment, the window was in front of a dirty window well. While no one could really see in, it allowed a lot of morning light to spill in which woke us up too early. Also, the mattress was the squeakiest I have ever been on. The kids were in the bunk beds in the living room and they were more comfortable than us.
I could forgive the shabby looking exterior since it was such a good price, but I can’t believe there was no real curtain in the bedroom. And the bed squeaked if you barely moved. Fix those two things and I would change it to 4 star. The rest of it was cute and cozy.
We had a great time and the property was very clean and incredibly quiet, especially considering it's a basement apartment. We were comfortable and there is a park right by the house that made it easy and enjoyable to walk the dogs in the morning and at night. They are dog lovers and the decorating shows it. Parking is on the street, but we never had a problem getting a spot right in front of the house. I would definitely recommend if your traveling with pets.
It’s hard to put words on something so detestable as this, to call it “cozy” is a joke! The host was nothing but rude and hateful, with no regard towards us. She called my wife a liar, and kicked us out when all we did was complain about the constant noise coming from upstairs! Noise all hours of the night, witnessed some activity that was very suspicious in nature from the tenant upstairs, and even heard them laughing when we yelled to please stop banging around! I was even threatened by one of tenants friends with a “spear”, and then one of them said something about my wife doing an “act” with one of our dogs when we were leaving! Accosted by someone we had never laid eyes on, telling us we had 30 minutes to get out and then she called the cops on us too! Cold, clammy, like living in a tomb. Coffee pot didn’t work, someone previously had burnt popcorn in microwave, so everything that went in came out smelling and tasting like burnt popcorn. Old shag stinky carpet on concrete floor, no pad, windows were covered in spider webs, bugs crawling around on ceiling and in drawers, literally could go on and on! This so called “premier host” is not what we expected in the least, her in professionalism lacks in how she deals with her guests-

Dan stayed for four days without complaining, then I had to cancel his last two days because of his behavior. He refused to leave so Vrbo forced him out. If anyone really called the police it was Vrbo. That’s why he is making up things to complain about.
The people upstairs are very nice and enjoy taking care of our guests. Their grandchildren visit often and make noise upstairs, so sometimes you can expect that.

Hidden treasure
Great little hideaway not far from downtown. Definitely a hidden treasure. Perfect for me and my dog as we stayed there both going to and returning from Montana.
Overall a wonderful stay. Nearby park is perfect for the pups. Downtown an easy walk with lots of shops and tasty food. Explored mountains, Yellowstone and grand Tetons all within a couple hours drive. Very cozy…. Perhaps too much as it was hard to get out of the cozy warm bed in the dark basement. And sometimes the upstairs noise was bothersome but not a deal breaker.

Great price
Not handicapped accessible or friendly. No A/C and parking on the street requires hunting for space and walking half a block sometimes. We had no problems, neighbors friendly and quiet at night, days we were not there. We stayed 6 nights. Do not judge a book by its cover. Its a cute, well stocked and comfy apartment. All necessary kitchen amenities for full meal prep. Lots of blankets and ceiling fan in bedroom. Our dog loved it!! Close to a nice lil park. We will be back as we have family in the area.

When we first arrived, there was no designated place to park and it wasn't clear where entrance was to unit. There was a large gathering in front of house that looked unwelcoming. We texted owner and drove to get dinner. Later, we learned that above renters had family over so they took all the street parking. When they left, we found parking. The place is in a run down part of town and not sure if it was because of my husband not being white, but we got some stare-downs from folks in the neighborhood, who were white and some still had Trump paraphernalia on their cars, etc. Although property had some unique features, like a tree growing around an old bike, the whole house needed fixing up, inside and out. The neighborhood looked unsafe, we saw a few unsavory characters walking in the industrial area behind the house.

The bed and furniture were comfortable. The wifi was excellent. It was very clean. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure in the shower. I was able to park on the street directly in front of the home.
It is a basement apartment so there was the expected noise of movement from above, but it wasn't bothersome to me. I enjoyed my stay.
nice kitchen, didn't have a chance to use, not big enough for 6, was glad it was just two of us, good value

Didn’t receive any check in information until 10:30 pm on the night we were already supposed to stay there. Arrived at the property at check in time (4pm) and it was locked with no one around to let us in. The property was in a more “rustic” condition than I had expected. We didn’t end up staying there because we couldn’t get in. So I cannot review the actual amenities. The host did give us a refund though so that’s good.
