If you’re looking for a retreat, this is the place to relax, read books, canoe and chill in crystal-clear water!
No tv - good wifi so watching on iPad or phone is easy. But better than tv is sitting on the dock at sunset watching the loon parents and their chick glide through the water and hearing their beautiful calls as the mist rolls over the mountain and covers the lake.
Description of the place is on point. Interior is bright. Lots of towels. Great kitchen supplies make it easy to cook. Hope and Lincolnville General Stores are less than 10 minutes away for grocery items or to pickup hot pizza. Belfast (great co-op and awesome farmers’ market on Saturday) and Camden are 30 minutes-ish for civilization and more to do.
Highly recommend for a getaway from fast-paced daily life!!
Our stay at this cabin was everything we hoped for (and a whole lot more!). Incredibly private, serene, and beyond beautiful - easily one of the best (and most enjoyable) renting experiences I've had yet. Scott's place was incredibly clean, cozy, and had absolutely every amenity needed. Completely stocked kitchen perfect for cooking meals and hosting friends in the daytime - also AMPLE seating and relaxing areas both on the docks, porches, and inside the cabin.
Scott was incredibly helpful and prompt at answering any questions, simple check-in/out - and provided plenty of resources of nearby activities (if you want to explore nearby). However, between the swimming, boating, and number of other available relaxing activities, we had no desire to venture far from the cabin and were so sad to leave when it was time to go home!
Truly could not have asked for more and we are so grateful to have stayed here! Hope to come back very soon.

If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place to get away from it all then End of the Road is a great place to come. Close to the General Store, a small restaurant in the village and nice hiking. Need a little more action close to Camden, Rockland and Belfast.
