Great View, Great Location

We throughly enjoyed our short stay in Manarola. The check in staff was helpful and recommended, which we gladly agreed to, hiring a local gentleman to transport our luggage (on foot) up many stairs and then down a few, to the apartment. He was worth every penny! The apartment was great and perfect for 2 couples. It was a wonderful location, close to the water and a short walk (climb) to the main street and tunnel to train. Unfortunately our stay was cut short due to a train strike and bad weather. Our hosts informed us of this in the late afternoon of our 2nd day. We were to stay 3 nights but decided to rebook our trains and leave a day early. Due to the bad weather forecast very few stores and restaurants were open in Manarola that day. We will definitely return as we did not get to see all that we wanted!! But what we saw we loved.
