Property was clean and very quiet at night. Pillows were very, very thin. The bedding was just okay. I think this condo could be really nice with just a small investment.
The condo is in a perfect spot, close to food, the beach, and fishing. The room was exactly what we expected. We will try to book again next year time we are in town
Janelle let us know we could check in early to her cute condo. It was clean and nicely decorated. We spent the day exploring nearby Mustang Island and returned in the evening. Perfect place to stay.

Cute Simple place
We were not able to check in until 4:15; a little bummed about that however, the property manager kept us informed the whole time. The apt was clean, bed was comfortable, and the ac worked great. The balcony view is of the Sonic drive-in. The pool was awesome and the view of the pool was great. Would stay here again.
great place for couples. Couldn’t get the stove to turn on so we ate out, but that was not an issue. Hot showers, comfy bed. Avoid holidays as young adults tend to flock here for the great low prices, but they do not always follow the quiet time of after 10 pm.
Great location, and overall a great place to stay! I do think the bathroom could have been cleaned a little better... There were hairs left in the shower, and on the floor. Not terrible but room for improvement. Kitchen was well-equipped too, which was a bonus. Host was great and very communicative!
Things to know negatives first there’s a THERES OTHER PARKING THE PARKING GARAGE THIS IS NOT FOR LARGE VEHICLES! No Wi-Fi, television is a little dated and small so don’t be a tv person. I fortunately am not so it didn’t hinder my experience of being able to open the door and take in the view from both sides of the canal! I would stay here again. I worked a lot but everyone here was friendly and courteous week and weekend. Great communication! CLEAN! friendly and soooooo peaceful adequate cleaning supplies and kitchen utensils!
I'll break it down into cons and pros:
Cons: The building was built in the 1960s and definitely shows its age. This was not necessarily a "con" for my wife and I as we appreciated its character, but some may find it off-putting. The parking spot for the unit is very tight which will not pose a problem if you have a smaller car, but it was a tight fit for my Silverado. The majority of the building is not climate controlled, so be prepared.
Pros: The condo itself is absolutely adorable. The decor screams late 20th Century which, again, my wife and I found very appealing. The owner provides a dehumidifier which is more than I can say for every other VRBO I have stayed in on the Gulf Coast, and it kept the room comfortable (just be prepared; you will have to empty the bucket multiple times a day. That's the Gulf Coast; is what it is). Owner was very open and communicative and answered all of our questions prompt and honestly. Would definitely stay here again.
The condo matched the visual description listed. It was close to the beach, and is right on the canal.
Pros-
- close to beach
- has a nice fishing pier out back , use a shrimp and popping cork and the speckled trout are very large. Wait till early morning or evening
- for a quick bite there is a fast food place right next door
- condo ac worked well and the hot water works great
Cons-
Shower head is low, No elevator working so plan to carry your items up 3 flights of stairs that are very slim and steep.
The building is very hot inside, old and very dirty looking and poorly lit.
The parking is very packed starting Friday evening through Sunday evening. So claim a spot if you have a large truck or suv. The parking garage is very small and hard to move around in .
The laundry room is two dollars a load to wash and dry, it’s very hot and the machines are rusted out and have loads of sand in them . It also has a digital purchase option . But he cautious . They will charge you more and may charge twice.
The pool (inside) is very hot, not well maintained people always leave trash behind.
The grills on site are old, rusty and I wouldn’t recommend using at all . They need replacing.
If you get a package , make sure you put your unit number on it. They won’t bring to your room, call the office and ask to have it dropped off or pick up before 5 pm.
The unit has no Wi-Fi or television service so bring a mifi box with Roku.
