Don I read your appreciation when you book accommodation in a city like Paris, you first look on the net where this accommodation is located. this avoids making an assessment that seriously denigrates this accommodation in its 5-star ranking for years

This is a lovely terraced apartment with a view of the city in a convenient, non-touristy neighborhood close to multiple metro lines. The terrace and large windows catch the breeze to keep it cool even on warm days.
Parisian authenticity, a very unique experience. Formidable.

Good apartment, good location
Overall the property was good. Spacious, 1 bedroom, shower, full kitchen, patio and living area. In a good neighborhood but a good 3/4 mile mile to a subway line and no A/C - which is typical in Paris but so so hot! Host was kind and generous - left us some jam, crackers, cookies and beer. Thank you!

Annie
thank you for your appreciation
it is true A/C is not usual in Paris and it was exceptionaly hot over your visit
have you had time to visit the Parc Buttes Chaumont?
Kings regards
This was a lovely flat in a nice neighborhood. Extremely convenient to get around via bus, train or both. The view is amazing. Happy hour on the balcony (with a cover for rain!) was very special. We went to visit the Sacre-Coeur Basilica, which was beautiful, but our view from the flat was almost as good! When you stay here, be sure to go to the nearby park and walk around the lake and see the island temple and the cave. The most interesting city park we’ve seen! Jean Pierre was a great host. If you are not European, be sure to get instructions on how to use the stovetop (be sure to only use induction cookpots) and the washer. Highly recommend this place!!

Appartement parfaitement conforme à la description, Jean Pierre a eu la gentillesse de nous attendre pour la remise des clés malgré une arrivée un peu tardive.
Like staying at your best friend's brother's apartment, except paying for a nice hotel
The location of this property is an ethnically diverse neighborhood, with easy access to bus (right out front door) & two metro lines within easy walking distance. Grocery stores, pastry shops, bars & eclectic restaurants surround the apartment, as well as a large, beautiful park for walking, running or picnics.
Unfortunately, the owner of this rental lives full time in the apartment, meaning there is too much stuff everywhere & in every room. There were very used sponges & rags in both the kitchen & bathroom; towels, only one bath & one hand towel for each of us for a week stay, were threadbare, did not match, creating the feel of staying in a friend's brother's apartment; every room was cluttered, especially the kitchen, making it impossible to cook, something I was looking forward to doing.
We enjoyed our stay at this apartment. Non-touristy neighborhood with everything you need close by (especially the #26 bus stop directly in front). Nice kitchen, shower, bathroom, clothes washer, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. There are also 2 large elevators in the building! The balcony and view are great. Jean-Pierre was responsive and helpful.

Met our needs
Jean-Pierre is charming and extremely responsive to communications. He accommodated an early check-in and was very patient and understanding when we were delayed at the airport when we didn't think we were going to make it on time (we did in the end). He also allowed us to store our effects while we shopped on our last day. Very kind.
The apartment is equipped with everything you need. With regret, because J-P is so lovely, the apartment is in need of a deep clean. All the common surfaces, counters, toilet etc are clean, but there is a lot of dust, some splatters and the exterior of the shower needs a goid scrub. I was able to wipe thick dust off the back of the top of the bathroom door. It is clearly also his residence when the apartment isn't rented and there are alot of personal mementos everywhere that need dusting. It also makes it unclear (and awkward) as to what can and can't be used from the pantry, fridge and cabinets. Usually "extras" are intentionally provided or left behind by previous renters. Instructions on how to use the oven would be helpful (I think it is a convection microwave, but not sure). I did manage to reheat some quiche, but I'm not sure how I did it.
The location is a bit out of the centre (but that is clear on the listing), but the price reflects that and it is a fair price for Paris. I am not sure I would have felt safe at night in the immediate area on my own (I had my adult son with me), but there are lots of restaurants and night life just a few blocks away.
Metro options are decently close and the bus is at the door so it was very easy to get around Paris.
Merci!
I would request check in and check out policy. Maybe a check list by door upon arriving. I didn’t know if I should pull off sheets. My owner was very accommodating with kids for 2 nights only. I would give him a big thumbs up😎
Dan I was happy to welcome you and thank you for the cleanliness of my apartment when you left.
I hope you were able to appreciate the view and the whole district with the Buttes Chaumont
Best regards

I have stayed in quite a few apartments over the past few years in Paris, but this apartment has to be one of my favourites.
Jean Pierre is the most helpful host and always available too.
The apartment is clean, bright and very spacious. With the south facing balcony with a view of it gets the sunshine all day and has the most amazing view to the left you can see the Eiffel Tower and Sacre Coeur, I loved my morning coffee there and then also sitting in the evening watching the Paris go by with a glass of wine perfect.
This apartment isn’t far from 2 boulangeries and supermarkets for your food. It also has a bus stop outside and the metro is only a short distance walk to the right, along with shops and restaurants.
Also if you walk left Parc des Buttes is just a couple of minutes away it’s such a beautiful park and a must see.
Thanks again I would definitely recommend and will return I have happy memories
Merci beaucoup 🌸🙏🏻

Spacious apartment with spectacular view
The apartment is a large one-bedroom with a door separating the living room and kitchen area from the bedroom/bathroom area. The shower was large and has both a fixed and a hand-held shower head. It has lots of light and a balcony from which we saw beautiful sunsets. Very nice park within easy walking distance. There is a bus stop(#26) right in front of the apartment, but in September the route was temporarily diverted in one direction. The owner responded promptly to all communications. We would definitely return.
