Cedar Lane Cabin: authentic log cabin in the woods

This beautiful cabin in the heart of the Finger Lakes is the perfect place to stay while you're on vacation.  Just minutes from Penn Yan and Keuka Lake, Cedar Lane Cabin offers a relaxed and laid back vacation spot nestled into the woods and overlooking a valley.  The cabin is just around the corner from The Windmill Farm and Craft Market and only a few minutes from many of the wineries in the area.

The front porch is a wonderful spot to sit and enjoy the sounds of the birds and nature and slow down for a moment.  The front porch has comfortable log rockers and a porch swing...just the place for your morning cup of coffee.  Walking in from the front porch, you'll enter the main Living area.

The main living area is spacious with a Living room, Dining area and Full Kitchen.  There is a large stone fireplace with a gas insert...a wonderful place to warm up on a chilly night.  The cabin is furnished with handmade log furniture, hewn by a local craftsman.  The post and beam construction on the front porch and on the pavilion were all hewn by hand by the homeowner and are made from trees cut down on the property.

The Dining Room seats 6 around the round table with chairs.  There is an additional high top table with bar stools that seats 4.

The kitchen is fully furnished and has a stove/oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.  From the kitchen, you can step down a few steps and there is a beautiful sunken sun room with large windows facing out over the back yard.  This room has an additional table for dining and rocking chairs.

Off of the main living area is a small hallway with the bathroom on the right.  The bathroom is a spacious full bath with a tub/shower.

At the end of the hallway is Bedroom 1 with a Queen size bed and hand made log furniture.  To the left is Bedroom 2, which also has a Queen bed and hand made log furniture.

Across from the bathroom are the stairs to the basement level.  At the bottom of the stairs, there is a family room to the right.  To the left is Bedroom 3.  If you go through Bedroom 3, there is a separate utility room with a washer and dryer which are for guest use.

The backyard at Cedar Lane is spacious with plenty of room for yard games or to let the kids run.  The large backyard sets up against the light-filled wooded area behind the house.  There is a large pavilion in the back yard for guests to enjoy with a gas firepit to get cozy around during warm summer nights or cool spring/fall evenings.   The perfect spot to end your day!

When you rent this home, you are renting a private residence or secondary home, a very personal experience. Our homeowners have furnished and decorated this home to their taste and comfort.

*Before booking, we would like guests to know: Cedar Lane is an authentic cabin made of real logs.  Therefore, noises tend to travel more indoors than a dry-walled home.  The cabin also tends to have a "wild woodsy/cabin" smell, which is natural from the logs.  If guests have an aversion to either of these things, this may not be the spot for you.


**We ask that renters to be over the age of 25. By booking you agree with this policy and comply with the request that the renting party is over the age of 25.
**ABSOLUTELY NO pets or animals allowed at any time.  Anyone found to be in violation, will be asked to leave immediately.
**No parties allowed at any time.
**Smoking prohibited except in outdoor areas.
**Guest must comply with maximum occupancy at all times.  No Exceptions.  Only 6 guests allowed at any time.
**Parking for 4 vehicles .
