Luxury cabin in the woods, 2 bedrooms plus loft

Located just 5 miles from Lexington, Virginia, Washington & Lee University, Virginia Military Institute and the Virginia Horse Center. Situated in tranquil seclusion on 96 acres of woods, but minutes from Interstates 81 and 64.

Master suite with jacuzzi. Second bedroom with queen bed and private full bath.
Third queen Murphy bed in loft. Living room has large screen cable television and fireplace. High speed internet. Full kitchen. Full laundry.

We do not have a doorbell camera or surveillance at the cabin. We do have a camera at the road entry to the property. This is .6 miles from the cabin.

A Special Property

We had a fantastic stay! The cabin is very cozy, comfortable, and well stocked. We really appreciated that there were some coffee pods, snacks, and, condiments available. The property is very special and it was just what we were looking for - very quiet and secluded. Dave and Susan were very responsive and we definitely plan to return.

My favorite place to stay!

This was our 5th stay at Dave and Susan's cabin; I'm not sure what more to say! It's consistently absolutely wonderful. We've never had issues with anything, ever. Consistently clean, fresh flowers, snacks, all the kitchen appliances and pans you'd need, toiletries, etc. Beds and furniture are comfortable and the linens are luxurious. Host communication is highly accessible but not over the top. Just hands down a fantastic place to stay, every single time.

Beautiful property

Me and my guest had a wonderful time. The cabin was very clean when we arrived. They had little snacks and flowers on the table. The host was very respinsive and so nice.before and during our staff. If your looking to get away in the mountains this is the perfect place.

Great escape

Cabin was perfect. Husband referred to it as the perfect cabin for retirement. I could see myself writing a book there. If you are looking to get away from it all this is your destination. Owner is awesome!

Best cabin experience ever

Went with wife and friends. Location in the woods was perfect. Cabin was clean and furnished with nearly everything you could imagine, including fresh flowers, snacks, drinks, coffee, soap, shampoo, browsing deer, etc. Owner Dave responded to messages quickly. We plan on coming back.

Luxury in the Woods

Truly a luxury cabin off the beaten path, but close to where we needed to be. Hosts were excellent; available in real time if we had any issues. The cabin was modern and up-to-date, with many creature comforts (but the creatures were left outside in the woods). Would most definitely stay here again if the need arises.

Cabin in the woods

This cabin sits in a great location. The host contacted us making sure we arrived ok. This is a very nice place to stay, we will definitely be staying here again. The first night we saw a momma bear with three cubs.

One of our favorites

I think this was maybe our fourth stay; we absolutely love this cabin. It's exactly as pictured and advertised. Host communication is just right; not too much and not too little. The kitchen is well-stocked, not just with pots/pans but water in the fridge, condiment packets, and snacks on the counter. Great little touches like fresh flowers, too!. It's a wonderful romantic escape and would be great for a girls getaway or family trip too.

Secluded Gem !

This cottage is really a place away from the rat race ! Secluded, comfortable, tastefully decorated with an interesting array of figurines and collectibles! Beautiful views from the wrap around deck. Fully equipped kitchen and lovely breakfast nook ! Though tucked away from the world, it's only minutes to town. The hosts, Dave & Susan ,went over the top to make this a fabulous Christmas trip!Would definitely recommend this Vrbo !!

Perfection!

This cabin is fabulous! Everything was perfect during our stay! I would give it more than 5 stars for cleanliness, if I could! Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of and provided by the hosts, from snacks and drinks, to copious amounts of towels and pillows, even luxurious bathrobes. And we enjoyed watching the deer romp from the huge, wrap-around porch. It was just a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. And communication with the hosts couldn’t have been easier. Dave always replied to me very quickly. We were there for our son’s graduation from VMI (a quick, easy drive), so we were running around a lot for graduation and commissioning festivities, but we plan on going back for a more laid back, relaxing vacation!

Kids Spring break

This was a short family get away with our kids during their spring break. Boy did we love this property. The cabin was very clean and so cozy. It was well stocked with necessities which is nice (saves time and room on packing). The owner was very helpful. We had some high winds in the area, he checked in with us a few times to make sure we were okay and the drive way was clear for us to get in and out. We really appreciated that. My boys love to hunt and the outdoors so they were loving the property where they saw plenty of deer, wild turkeys and a black bear. We all enjoyed this trip and cabin. We highly recommend it and would love to return in the near future.

Attractions in the local area include: The Virginia Horse Center, Hulls Drive in Movie, antique stores, wine tasting, local shops, carriage rides, canoeing and kayaking, drive thru animal park and zoo, Natural Bridge, hiking, Lime Kiln Theater and a multitude of restaurants.
