Overall great place to stay

This place has beautiful views the only thing that needs to change is the cleanliness. The oven was very dirty and gross inside and the shower curtain was white material and was stained brownish in color all along the bottom and very nasty looking.

Great Lake View, Pictures don’t do it justice!

This house was better than expected. Owners are very kind, thoughtful and responsive. Every part of the house was very clean and tidy ( I don’t know what the previous reviewer was talking about). The kitchen is large and better equipped than our home. Plenty of room for our entire family and the beds were comfortable. Kids loved the sun room with sand boxes and the access to the lake shore was great for exploring. Great value and we will certainly book this property again for our next trip to the lake.

Large kitchen/living area. Great for gathering as a family. Many bedrooms. Wonderful view of the lake. HVAC kept us cool on 100-degree days. Lots of toys for the kiddos and kayaking was fun.

Great space for family

We booked this house last minute to attend a funeral. This home had plenty of space for many of our family members that came from out of state. We especially loved the large kitchen and living room area that were great for hanging out in. The toys for the kids were an added bonus as they kept our little ones busy the entire stay. This is a great location on the lake and we're hoping to come back in the summer months to enjoy it.

Relaxing retreat at the lake

This was a great property for our group to stay in. We enjoyed our time there. The only thing it is really lacking was WiFi. It did make it a bit difficult for 4 of us who all own companies to communicate easily when needed. Overall it was a great place.

Anniversary & Birthday Celebrations

50 Year Anniversary and 4 birthdays. We spent 3 days celebrating with our daughters and families. Son-in-law brought the boat, and the weather was perfect. We had a great time exploring the lake, grilling, and just spending time with each other. We couldn't have found a better way to celebrate 50 years of life. We certainly would recommend this property for life's celebrations. THANKS to our host.

Fantastic hilltop lake home

We had a really fantastic time at this lovely home. It felt very much like a comfortable modern cabin. The deck and view of the lake, and accompanying breeze, were phenomenal. Benjamin was an exceptional communicator. The air conditioners worked well and kept the house at the perfect temperature, even when it was hot and muggy outside.

Great place to enjoy Harlan County Reservoir

I'd never been to Harlan County Reservoir before and decided to book somewhere different for our family trip. We were very pleased and had a great time. We had a large group which included two grade school aged children. Anytime I had questions, the owner/manager got back to me quickly with answers. It's a short walk to the to enjoy the beach. There was an area mowed so that we could set up a shade tent and keep coolers with drinks and snacks close. Then, to access the beach you go down a flight of stairs and across a short wooden plank. Make sure to wear decent shoes and brush the sand off the plank. We did find a few ticks on us so check yourself often. This is just part of enjoying the outdoors. The house has a wonderful open great room with the kitchen and has a beautiful view of the lake. We were able to enjoy that area when we had a rain delay. Bedrooms are certainly sufficient. Overall the family thoroughly enjoyed the location. We would definitely book this property again!

Ok/Good experience

As others mentioned could explain better how close or how to access water. Also, could do better job cleaning & let u know where stuff is had to hunt down hand towels & wash cloths in lower level also no where to really put them. We did enjoy the kitchen which was well stocked and wood burning stove in living room but did have to get our own fire wood. Had great time using kayaks once weather cleared would suggest cart to help get them to cove. Food recommendations were great.
