There is no question that this high quality appartment has an amazing location and stunning views from both sides, however there are some serious downsides for a luxury property in the 21st century.
There is no WIFI in the appartment and 4/5G reception was very patchy. Via, the agent, we were told by the owner to piggyback off the next door appartment's WIFI but weren't given the correct password. WIFI is actually very cheap compared to the weekly rental charge for this property, so should be included.
There was no welcome pack with the basics, such as washing up liquid, scrubbers, etc. There was also no sink plug, so washing up proved challenging. There were only 2 decent sized cereal bowls, although there were plenty of other plates, glasses, etc. We had to pay for linen and towels and we had to make the beds up when we arrived. There was only one bath towel provided in the paid for linen pack, no hand towels which was frustrating when hand washing in the many separate wcs. There was insufficient seating for 8 adults/teenagers in the lounge area.
Although our stay was in the Christmas week, there was no evidence of Christmas, no decorations at all.
The property manager was very helpful and flexible, meeting us to let us in when it suited us and arranging for an early check out. They also answered the queries that we had during our stay very quickly and the property was very clean and tidy.
The beds were very comfortable and the appartment is very spacious.
