The weather wasn't the greatest but the location and the cottage were excellent. John the host is a good man and a good communicator. We will stay again.
Kitchen was fully stocked with pans plates silverware. There wasn’t any towels though and it was really cold . A wood furnace so we had to keep putting wood in there to keep warm. Its a good summer location right on the lake
Just looking at the lake from the cottage we stayed at was very relaxing. We didn’t have to do anything but sit back, relax and unwind.
John and Yoly were fabulous hosts, very friendly and welcoming.
We’re already planning a return trip next year. Just can’t get enough of that fabulous view of the lake!😁
Owner was very personable and helpful. The cabin is vintage without a lot of modern upgrades, but that is what makes it charming. Kind of like stepping into a 1940's lakeside resort. It had all of the proper necessities, fridge, microwave, stove, kitchen wares, etc. It was clean and comfortable. Cable tv worked fine. They supplied some wood for a campfire which was nice and each cabin has their own firepit. The lake is beautiful and we could launch our kayaks from the edge beyond the seawall, even though the slope down to the water was a bit steep. Plenty of hot water, but it does have the sulfur smell so bring bottled water to drink if that bothers you. Great view to watch the sunset. Overall, we had a nice relaxing weekend. Note: your GPS may tell you that you have arrived at your destination, but it is about an eighth of a mile farther north.
Perfect little lake cottage. Reminds me of our cabin as a kid.
I wanted a quiet place on a lake. A place to fish and relax for the week. This little lake cottage met all my expectations. Not far from a large town where you can find any extra activity or local shops. Can’t wait to plan our next trip.
Staying in this rustic cottage was better than staying in a tent. Guests who don’t mind stinky well water, limited electrical outlets, room heating by wood stove, open space between bedrooms, and aging waterfront access, will be fine staying here. The owner was very hospitable.
I stayed here while hunting and this was a great choice. Cottage was clean and well equipped for our needs. John is a great host, I had no issue contacting him if there was an issue. I look forward to staying here again in the future.
Property was well-kept, cottage one was nice on the lake front all beds were comfortable. Talked with the owner very friendly right on the lake and you can’t beat the sunrise
Rented the cottage for a long weekend with friends, no bugs at all! Wood stove makes it a cozy spot for the winter. Pots and pans already in the cottage allowed for us to make home-cooked meals. Toilet could use a deep clean, but overall the place was very clean.
We had an excellent time! We had rented a 3 bedroom cabin and had a 2 bedroom when we got there, luckily 2 bedrooms fulfilled our needs so it really wasn't a concern for us, but may be for another group if it were to happen to them. The cabin was exactly what we were after as far as looks, view of the lake and cleanliness. There is very limited parking, however there is parking across the street and the owner explained the parking situation before we left so we were able to know where to go. We were hoping for a beach and that is not the case but we swam and had a good time. A very quiet neighborhood with no stores nearby for" touristy" shopping so if a person is looking for "touristy", this would not be their ideal spot. If you are looking for solid family time, this fits the bill! Again, loved the cottage and we did have a wonderful time!
