About the host
Hosted by Dr. Lisa uhlir
My brother and I are from Alpena. We moved away and built our careers (professor and lawyer) and returned to enjoy the memories of childhood in the woods. We love sharing those great stories with others particularly in this fast paced world.
Why they chose this property
This is truly a deep woods experience. There is an 1800's original homesteaders cabin on site. This is history and a connection directly to our past. We love the woods and connecting with nature-sitting out on the deck and watching the deer wander up. Nothing beats the stars at night and sitting around a campfire telling stories and roasting marshmallows.
What makes this property unique
There is nothing like this place. With several thousand acres to explore with no one around this place transports you back in time and gives you a true escape.
